Chapter 685: Allowed to Bring Family Members

The woman turned to the man and asked, "Didn't you say that you earned that money from playing games?"

Linda laughed, "Playing games? With his trash skills, he can't even beat me. How could he earn money by playing games? Ridiculous!"

Upon hearing this, the woman slapped the man's face and exclaimed, "You lied to me?"

"Babe, I didn't. She..." The man tried to explain.

"Break up!" The woman cut him off and walked away.

The man glared at Linda before chasing after the woman.

Linda sneered and cursed a few times before stopping. Stanley patted her shoulder and said, "It's over now. He won't hear your curses."

Yanis also looked at Linda and asked, "Do you feel better now?"

At Yanis' words, Linda glanced at him with a pouty mouth. "Yanis! You're not comforting me but mocking me instead?"

Shaking his head in denial Yanis said,"I wasn't mocking you. Your punches were so satisfying; it must have felt good."

Linda laughed again,"I wanted to punch him earlier too but thought he had really gone abroad for studies only to find out later that he was cheating on me with someone else."

After venting her emotions by hitting someone, Linda talked about her bumpy love life with Yanis who listened patiently as she spoke.

In fact, Linda was quite attractive but she always had trouble finding love due to various reasons such as people disliking her job or saying she doesn't have time for them because of work commitments . She always encountered strange excuses like these which made things difficult for her in relationships.

Despite all this, Linda remained optimistic. However, the longest relationship she ever had lasted only six months. She spent so much money on dating men that if added up, she could easily pay a down payment for an apartment in Manchester City. The guy who just cheated on her took away tens of thousands of dollars from Linda.

After listening patiently, Yanis handed over a glass of water,"Drink some water, to soothe your throat."

Initially angry while speaking, Linda couldn't help laughing when hearing Yanis speak differently than usual. She took the glass from him,"Wow, Yanis, I never knew there was another side of you."

Handing over the glass, Yanis replied calmly ,"Sometimes even if our eyes are wide open , we might still get confused due to sudden anger. But everyone makes mistakes, and what matters is being able turn back when we realize our mistake. You did well."Before, Linda used to daydream about finding a handsome and wealthy boyfriend who would fall from the sky or come into her life. But after experiencing many breakups, she learned to let go of these things. Now, she is a small rich woman with money in her purse and a car at her disposal.

According to Bonnie's evaluation of Linda, "Xiao Mu is a very ambitious person and has unlimited potential in the future." So one day in the future, Linda will become an outstanding person.

Stanley patted Linda on the shoulder and comforted her softly by saying, "You will definitely find a better boyfriend than me in the future. Don't lose heart."

Linda pushed him away slightly with her hand raised up. "If you didn't speak just now, I would have thanked you for taking my side."

Stanley smiled and said encouragingly,"Cheer up! Every day in the future will be good."

Linda sighed,"Yes, we'll have good days ahead of us."

The three of them checked out every detail at the scene before returning to their studio.

On their way back Yanis answered Bonnie's call.

"Bonnie, what's up?"

"Are you guys heading back to work?"

"Yes we are on our way back now. What's going on?"

"Why don't you guys come over to Shippou Restaurant? Let Stanley join too! I'll treat all of you tonight!"

Yanis looked at his watch,"Why do we suddenly get invited for dinner?"

[What's up?]

[Bonnie invited us out for dinner tonight, are you free?]

Remembering what Bonnie said before hanging up the phone, Yanis added another sentence: [Bonnie said we can bring our families along.]

Zane replied directly: [Can I pick you up from work after I'm done here?]

Yanis replied with one word: [Okay.]

Back at the studio, Nancy and Aunt Rivers arrived as soon as Yanis walked in.

Yanis stood up two steps forward to greet them both saying,"Aunt Rivers! Long time no see."

Aunt Rivers smiled and reached out to help Nancy,"Nancy wanted to go shopping today so we came across some delicious food items on our way here; she suggested bringing some over for you."

Yanis looked at the package Aunt Rivers handed over then extended his hand taking it saying,"You don't have to go through all this trouble just for me."

Nancy was now showing signs of pregnancy belly; she sat down on the sofa nearby saying,"We noticed that you often eat desserts from there so we brought some new ones from their shop for you try out."

Actually Yanis bought those sweets specifically for Alfie but since Nancy had gone through all this trouble he didn't say anything about it; he thanked them instead then turned around helping Nancy pour hot water into cups while asking,"When is your due date?"

Nancy took her cup of water thanking him then answered," It's probably going be in autumn soon since September is almost here."

"So does that mean we should move up your wedding date?" Yanis asked.

Nancy nodded slightly."That's why we came by today-just wanted Miss Cooke know that I think we might need some adjustments made regarding size."
