I Become A CEO After Divorce novel Chapter 718

Chapter 718 I Believe in You

Bonnie and Yanis walked up to Zane and Ivan. Bonnie looked at Ivan and said, "Ivan, we'll go in first. Yanis and Mr. Lawrence have something to talk about."

Ivan responded, "Sure thing. Let's go in first."

In fact, Ivan had already talked with Zane earlier about Ahmed's social media activity.

Ivan was surprised that someone could play such a game.

He admired the other person for daring challenge Zane.

After Ivan and Bonnie went inside, Yanis reached out and pulled Zane towards the car saying, "Zane, let's get in the car."

"What? We're not going inside?" asked Zane.

Yanis opened the car door saying,"Let's get in first. I need to talk to you before we go back inside."

Zane glanced at Yanis but eventually got into the car as well while handing his hand over for Yanis to follow suit.

Yanis followed suit by sitting down forcefully after closing all of the doors of the cramped space around them.

In this confined space, Yanis looked at Zane,"Zane, I want to tell you something. Please don't be angry."

"Okay," replied Zane with a grunt sound.

Yanis thought carefully about how she would phrase her words before telling him what happened when Bonnie showed her a video earlier on,"At that time, I didn't think much of it. I just wanted him to see how it was. I didn't even notice he took pictures or posted anything on social media."

As she spoke, Yanis took out her phone intending on showing Ahmed's post but found out it had disappeared instead .

"He... blocked me?"

Zane took Yani's phone from her hands directly deleting Ahmed from her friend list saying"I believe in you."

Afterwards, Zane lifted his hand gently holding onto Yani's chin while speaking sternly,"But I'm still a little angry."

"Huh?" said Yani confusedly.

Looking straight into Yani's eyes, Zane continued,"You didn't listen when I told you not talk with strangers especially men. Why did you disobey my instructions?"

Before Yani could respond, Zane leaned forward biting down on her lips as if punishing her,"Do you think I'm someone who gets mad without reason? Or do you think I don't trust you?"

Shaking her head, Yanis replied,"No, it wasn't like that . I was worried someone might say something later which would make you unhappy."

Zane looked at Yanis and lightly brushed his thumb against her lips. "I told you, I believe in you. I won't believe what others say."

With that, Zane leaned in and kissed Yanis passionately, their breaths becoming ragged as they tangled together.

When they finally parted, Zane asked, "Did you bring your lipstick?"

Yanis nodded before asking incredulously, "Did you erase up all of it?"

Zane hummed in response and reached for Yanis' purse on her lap to retrieve the lipstick. "Can I help you put it on?" he offered.

Yanis quickly stopped him with a hand on his arm. "No thanks," she said hesitantly. "I can do it myself."

"Don't trust me?" Zane teased with a smirk.

"It's not that," Yanis shook her head quickly. "I just think you don't know how to do it."

"If you teach me how to do it properly, then I'll be able to help next time," Zane countered smoothly.

In the end though, Zane ended up applying the lipstick for Yanis himself.

As she was putting away the tube of lipstick into her purse again, Zane's low voice suddenly sounded by her ear: "From now on if there's anything that needs fixing after my actions then let me handle it."

The words made Yanis involuntarily recall what had happened last time when he had said something similar; a deep blush spread across her face.
