Yanis continued to explore with the group until around 1 p. m. before returning to the hotel. They had lunch and packed their things to prepare for the journey back to Manches City. Yanis called Sandy after finishing packing.
After a few rings, the call was answered, but it wasn't Sandy on the other end. It was Brandon. Yanis inquired, "Mr. Hawkins, where's Sandy? Isn't she with you?"
Brandon replied softly, "Sandy is undergoing a check-up."
Upon hearing Brandon's response, Yanis asked, "Has the test results come out? How is she doing?"
There was a moment of silence from Brandon's end before he finally said, "She's probably pregnant, but she's still undergoing further examination."
Yanis was taken aback by Brandon's words. "When will the examination be over?"
After Yanis asked this question, Brandon didn't respond.
After a few seconds, their conversation could be heard through the phone. Yanis could clearly hear the voices.
"It's confirmed. It's about seven weeks of pregnancy," Sandy's voice came through.
"Congratulations, Mr. Hawkins," Yanis said softly upon hearing Sandy's voice.
Brandon, now coming back to his senses after hearing Yanis's words, said, "Sandy, it's Yanis on the phone."
With that, Brandon handed the phone to Sandy.
Sandy answered the call, but before she could say anything, Brandon suddenly hugged her tightly, nearly engulfing her in his embrace.
Sandy struggled to catch her breath and tapped Brandon's shoulder, whispering, "Brandon, are you trying to suffocate me?"
Brandon loosened his grip slightly upon hearing Sandy's words.
Sandy then held the phone to her ear. "Sister Yanis."
Yanis responded, "Congratulations on becoming a mother."
Sandy felt a mixture of nervousness and excitement. "Thank you. Please don't tell my sister about this yet. I want to tell her myself when I come back."
Yanis nodded. "Okay."
After responding, Yanis asked about some details. "Be a little more cautious. Take care of your work as well."
Sandy replied, "I'll have Jones help me take care of things."
This news came as a surprise to Sandy, but it brought her more excitement than anything else. Although she wasn't fully prepared for having a child, she didn't intend to reject this unexpected blessing.
After ending the call, Yanis put away her phone and looked at Zane beside her. "Sandy is pregnant."
Zane, upon hearing Yanis's words, murmured softly, "Are you going to stay?"
Yanis shook her head. "No need. Let's go back together. Mr. Hawkins is here, and he will take care of her."
Zane nodded and suddenly hugged Yanis, whispering in her ear, "We're not in a hurry. Good things come to those who wait."
Even though Yanis didn't say anything and appeared calm, Zane was the first to notice the change in her. When Yanis heard Zane's words, she was momentarily stunned. Then, she raised her hand and hugged Zane back. "I know. Good things come with time. I'm not in a hurry, and I haven't thought too much about it."
After holding onto each other for a while, Zane released his embrace and took hold of the suitcase, while also holding Yanis's hand. "Let's go."
When they arrived back in Manches City, it was already past 5 p. m. Yanis had Albi drop off Natasha and the others at their apartment before she and Zane took Bonnie's car back to D-king Castle.
Bonnie parked the car and turned to the two people in the back. "Can you live with yourselves? Making a heavily pregnant woman like me be your driver."
Zane glanced at Bonnie's face. "Consider it an honor."
Bonnie retorted, "I don't need this kind of honor!"
Zane opened the car door and helped Yanis out of the car. Then, he turned to Bonnie and said, "Make sure Auntie gives you some extra meat tonight."
Bonnie rolled her eyes. "I'll order my own food!"
Zane, carrying the luggage, responded, "It's too late for tonight. I'll treat you another day."
Satisfied, Bonnie walked ahead, holding Yanis's arm, and headed inside.
"Not feeling well?" Bonnie whispered, maintaining a certain distance from Zane.
Earlier, when they were leaving the airport, Bonnie had noticed that Yanis seemed a bit distracted. So, she sat in the driver's seat while letting Zane and Yanis sit in the back.
Yanis's expression changed slightly upon hearing Bonnie's question, then she finally spoke, "I'm not feeling bad, just thinking about some things, feeling a bit suppressed."
