Chapter 359 Cautious
Harper furrowed her brow. Receiving such an anonymous call for the first time, she didn't show much reaction. Not wanting Sophia and the others to get nervous, Harper calmly responded, "You don't even dare let me hear your real voice, so what right do you have to ask me to withdraw?"
"I'm just advising you out of goodwill. If you don't want to, I can't force you. But I can tell you truthfully, you won't be selected for today's competition. If you don't believe me, let's wait and see?"
With that, the caller hung up, the arrogance and confidence in her words making Harper's brow furrow even tighter.
She wondered, "Who could it be?" Clutching her phone tightly, Harper had a grim expression.
She pressed her lips together, reminding herself, "I need to be cautious. Someone may be playing tricks to throw me off balance with this call.
Regardless, I'm not afraid."
Harper showed no sign of unease, continuing to participate in the drawing inspection with Sophia and the others until it was time to leave.
Before departing, their colleagues cheered them on, with Frank personally seeing them off at the elevator. He encouraged her. "Relax, no matter the outcome, don't put pressure on yourself. This is just a competition, not a measure of your abilities."
"Alright, I understand." Harper nodded.
"You three cooperate well with Ms. Mitchell. I've already booked a restaurant for tonight for everyone to gather."
"Don't worry, Mr. Parker." Sophia and the others chimed in.
Finally, Frank looked at Annie and said gently, "Annie, thank you for accompanying Harper to the competition venue."
Annie replied nonchalantly, "Harper is my best friend. It's not a bother for me, just because it's her."
