Baron’s eyes narrowed, and an awful flicker appeared in the eyes.

“Mr. Owen, should I continue the investigation of Clark?” a man asked on the other end of the phone.

“No, leave it! Clark should be dead already. We have to sit and wait to see what comes out,” said Baron calmly.

In fact, the information was clear enough for him. He had guessed who was hiding under the cluster of intrigues.

The Brone Group was run by the Owen family for a long time. Though the Group was taken over by Baron, he hadn’t been in total control of it. The Owen family had planted their men, especially in the headquarters.

Lara nodded and took one look at Tracy. “Yes, I enjoy living in a big house. But it costs a lot of money. I don’t want you two to work so hard. In that case, I would rather live in a small house.”

When Tracy heard the words, her eyes misted a little.

The words moved Baron too. He was grateful that he could fulfill his little girl’s wish.

“Sweetheart, we are going to our new home now!” Tracy said gently, holding Lara’s hand.

“A new home?” Lara asked, confused.

“Yes. Our new home! It is as big as a palace!” Tracy said and laughed.

Lara’s face brightened. She cheered, “Is that true, Mom?”

“Of course! You will see how beautiful it is,” said Tracy, still laughing.

It had never occurred to her that she could leave the Perry Manor one day. Sherry created problems for her almost every day. The sounds of quarreling voices filled the Perry Manor every second, every minute, every hour. Tracy had enough of it. She couldn’t stay there any longer.

They got back to the Peak Hotel after a while. A big and nice villa stood in front of Lara. She was in a frenzy of excitement as soon as she got off the car. She gave a great roar of delight, “Dad! Mom! Look! It’s really a palace! Wow! I can sleep in a palace.”

Lara was enjoying running around the Peak Hotel. Baron and Tracy look at her. And on their faces, there was the same loving smile.

At eight o’clock in the evening, Yuri hadn’t been back. “Yuri is not back yet!” Tracy said, looking worried. She knew nothing about what had happed today in the Brone group.
