Tom looked shocked and angry. “How could you do this? I have cooperated for many years with your Skyward Group. You can’t terminate the contract unilaterally!”
A smile came over Baron’s face as he heard that. He finally understood why Camel was so confident. About a month ago, Camel had mentioned that he planned to buy several companies. The Skyward Group was one of them.
Baron hadn’t guessed at Camel’s intention until this day. It looked like Camel had already started planning for it earlier. Maybe most of the leading companies in Kato had been taken over by him.
Camel had shown more business acumen for the past few months. Baron was very pleased with his work.
Tom yelled on the phone for a long time, and then an idea struck him. He hung up and turned his eyes upon Camel. He remembered Camel’s words clearly.
“The Skyward Group have terminated the contract. You did this, didn’t you?” said Tom, with an evil look at Camel.
“Don’t be mad, Mr. Maguire! It’s just the beginning. I’m warning you. Don’t mess with Mr. Owen, or the Maguire family will be thrown into crisis and total collapse,” Camel said, with a slight laugh. He was supremely confident, as if he could easily do it.
“You bastard! You’ll get yourself killed! You’re the first man to threaten me! But apparently, you underestimated my Maguire family, Camel!” said Tom through clenched teeth.
Camel smiled. “You are seriously overconfident, Mr. Maguire! But it doesn’t matter, because something will make you believe what I said is true.” He said and dialed a number. “Go on!” he said into the phone.
The two words gave Tom a very invisible pressure. “You’re bluffing. I know it!” Tom was struggling for the appearance of composure.
Camel neither confirmed or denied it, but turned to Baron and said, “Don’t worry, Mr. Owen! I’m here for you. No one’s going to take you away!”
“Thank you!” Baron said and smiled.
Tom heard the words and anger was boiling up inside him. He was the head of the Maguire family. He couldn’t stand being treated like this.
At that moment, Tom’s phone rang again. The sound made his heart skip and his hands tremble. And all eyes were on Camel, looking astonished.
Tom looked at Camel quickly and answered the phone. Soon, everyone noticed his expression, because the color went out of his face. No doubt about it, the Maguire family was in big trouble again.
Camel looked again at Tom with a pleasant smile and asked, “It is a difficult day for you, I’m sure. Mr. Maguire, do you still want to take Mr. Owen away?
“You’ve gone too far this time, Camel! I’m warning you. No one can protect him, including you! He offended not only me, but also Martin of the Brook family! He broke Todd’s arm last night! Mr. Brook will not let him get away with it,” Tom said sharply.
“Believe it or not, no one will take away Mr. Owen, not even Martin, as long as I am here!” Camel sneered.
