Darya turned to Reece. ‘What is it?‘

‘Our lab has recently developed a new product. It’s a prototype, and not strictly related to the healthcare project. But I think there are a lot of similarities there that we can learn from. Would you like to take a look? Maybe you can give us some feedback.‘

Darya raised an eyebrow. ‘Sounds interesting, but I’m not in charge of product development. I don’t think I’ll

be able to give you any suggestions.‘

‘That’s fine. I just thought you’d be interested in seeing the first–generation intelligent companion.”

‘Al robot?‘

‘Yes.‘

Darya looked at her assistant. ‘Glen will set up an appointment with your office. I’d like to see it.‘

Reece watched Darya leave with Glen.

He sighed, then pushed open the door to deal with his friend.

Darya said goodbye to her assistant after he dropped her off at her house.

Thirty minutes on the treadmill, a simple dinner and a quick shower later, Darya was curled up on the sofa in the living room downstairs.
