Alfred still hesitated. But he then thought about the countless young women drowning in the misery of failed relationships, plagued by nightmares day and night, wasting their youth on mental and emotional torture. He realized how tragic it all was. Saving a life was important, and doctors were meant to rescue them.
"Simple hypnosis isn’t risky, but deep hypnosis that induces selective forgetting of the past comes with risks. Are you prepared to handle that?" he asked.
“Professor, I’ve managed to hypnotize others, so I’m confident in this.”
Noah had been wanting to do this to Chloe ever since he had successfully hypnotized Zoelle. He had conducted numerous experiments with other people, and without any external factors, Chloe would never want to see Joseph for the rest of her life. In her mind, Joseph would become the scum of the earth.
"All right, let's begin then," Alfred agreed, handing a pocket watch to Noah.
Noah said, "Professor, my description of Joseph might be biased to some extent, but my intention is to help Chloe move on, nothing more."
"I understand."
In psychology, there were specialized techniques to stimulate healing under desperate circumstances. He was certain that Noah must be at his wit's end.
Noah walked over to Chloe and gently shook her awake. Due to the effects of the medication, her consciousness was fragile and her head throbbed painfully. Slowly, she opened her eyes in confusion.
"Coco, look at the pocket watch and listen to me carefully," Noah said softly, "Joseph is the person you hate. He cheated on you with Xavia while still married to you. He showed no concern for you during your pregnancy and caused you to have a miscarriage. He also nearly caused you to die in that fire…"

By the time Joseph arrived at the Sullivan manor, Noah was already gone.
Vince pushed past the house helpers and a few security guards swarmed forward, some even brandishing weapons. He exchanged glances with his companions behind him and said, "You guys handle this. I'll go in with Mr. Joseph to find them."
The people he had brought along were among the most formidable in Docwood in terms of combat. There was no way they would be defeated.
