Chloe stopped in her tracks. She said hatefully and firmly, "The child died in the surgery room that night."
"But the whole thing is highly suspicious. Give me some time. Maybe I can find some clues."
"Don’t bother. I don't want to live in the past." Chloe strode away.
Noah glanced at Joseph before he smiled and said to Vince, "Your boss looks crestfallen. I think you should console him, but don't let him do this again. Coco and I are a couple now."
Vince was enraged. He scolded, "Don't be so smug. Hmph!” He then turned to Joseph. "Sir, what should we do? Did Ms. Chloe forgive Noah?"
This was the only possibility. Although Chloe hated Joseph in the past, she had never made it this obvious.
Joseph watched them leave. The pair were wearing the same style of clothes as if they were a young couple who had just woken up and come out to get breakfast. It was quite a romantic look. They had never presented such a harmonious scene.
Joseph closed his eyes and suppressed his swirling emotions. "Stop them."
Vince's eyes lit up. He said excitedly, "On it, sir."
Annoyed by Noah, Vince was itching to fight Noah to vent his anger.

Chloe got in the passenger seat and gazed at the scenery out the window. She felt dizzy. She could not pinpoint the source of her feelings, but she felt frustrated and disappointed.
"I instructed the housekeeper to tell the chef to cook us something. We can eat once we get home,” Noah said. Joy was written all over his face.
"Okay..." Chloe said hesitantly, "Did I faint last night? I don’t remember anything.”
