Chapter 8
But Bethany continued to hesitate and fidget, clutching the skirt tightly as she said reluctantly,
“I’ve never worn such a beautiful wedding dress before. This is exactly like the wedding dress of my dreams. Young Miss, since… since you’re not getting married anyway, couldn’t you give it to me?”
“Are you deaf? I’ve told you I’m getting married soon. This is my wedding dress for my wedding. If I give it to you, what am I supposed to wear?”
Bethany froze, and before she could speak, her eyes had already turned red.
Seeing her look so wronged, Ethan, Tony, and Andrew immediately felt heartache.
Ethan looked at Katerina and rubbed his temples in irritation, “Enough. It’s just a wedding dress, and you’re not really getting married.
It’s one thing to buy a wedding dress to trick us, but now you’re taking this act too far?”
“Yeah, aren’t you just trying to make us jealous? We told you last time to stop with these tricks, but you’re getting more and more carried away,” Tony said impatiently.
“It’s just a prop for an act. If Beth likes it, give it to her. Where did you buy it? I’ll pay you back.” As he spoke, Andrew held out a black card.
Katerina took a deep breath, realizing it was impossible to reason with them.
“I’ll say this one last time this is not a prop! I’m really getting married, and my husband designed this himself. It means everything to me. Bethany must take it off and return it to me!”
The three brothers were instantly enraged at hearing the word “husband” from her mouth. Just as they were about to speak, Bethany tugged at their clothes while crying.
“Ethan, Tony, Andrew, don’t argue because of me. I’ll take it off, I’ll take it off, okay?”
As soon as she finished speaking, she ran to her room crying.
