Chapter 20
“I did plagiarize.”
“However… it’s not the kind of plagiarism you think. I plagiarized my own project.”
“Two years ago, I worked as a volunteer designer in Croatia, which is the hotel project you’re referring to.
Cathy was my name when I first arrived abroad.”
This document is a certificate issued by the Croatian hotel, and it’s already published on the Snow family’s official website for everyone to verify.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the room erupted in chaos.
The media loved a spectacle and wouldn’t leave empty–handed without a scandal.
Curiosity piqued as they noted the interaction between Jean and Berton.
“Mr. Snow, there are rumors that Vivian was once your fiancée. Is there personal interest in
adopting her design?”
“Mr. Snow, have you and Miss Byron secretly obtained a marriage certificate? She was seen at Mr.
Snow’s grandfather’s funeral, possibly as a granddaughter–in–law?”
“Vivian, Mr. Snow, please respond!”
Berton noticed the flashbulbs bothering Jean’s eyes and immediately stood protectively beside her.
This action only fueled the media’s wild speculation.
“I’d like to clarify that I have no relationship with Miss Byron, nor is it as the public speculates.”
Berton glanced at Jean, who felt an ominous premonition.
“And Vivian is the person I am currently pursuing.
The Snow family adopted her design strictly following the bidding process, without any favoritism.
Please give us some personal space. This press conference is concluded.”

The media refused to relent, pressing forward to extract more news.
Berton ordered security to block them.
Winni replayed the press conference video repeatedly, watching Berton defend Jean with jealousy boiling inside her.
She smashed everything in the room, creating a cacophony of noise.
The housekeeper dared not speak until Winni’s father returned and knocked on her door.
“Dad, didn’t you say she would definitely be guilty of plagiarism?
What’s wrong with your people handling this? If Berton finds out I reported her for plagiarism, he
won’t want to be with me!”
“Daughter, look at how hard you’ve worked for the Snow family recently. What benefits have you gained?
Now he publicly defends her, clearly showing he doesn’t value our family. Why do you cling to
Berton?
With your family background and beauty, what kind of man can’t you have? Besides, you were the one who wanted to go abroad. Now you regret it?”
“Dad! I was the first to go abroad, but now I’m back! I don’t care! I want to be with Berton, so please help me!”
Just as Winni’s father was about to agree to her request, Berton called him, saying there would be a board meeting tomorrow and asked him to bring Winni along.
A sense of foreboding crept into his heart, but he still comforted his daughter. “Alright, even if my daughter wants the stars in the sky, I can pluck them for you!”
The next morning, Winni dressed beautifully and accompanied her father to the office.
Upon entering, she saw Jean sitting in Berton’s office.
