It was Friday.
She had been in a daze since she got up in the morning.
Henry asked her to attend his family's gathering tomorrow.
She was still hesitant.
As a result, she had been distracted all day in school because of this.
Miranda didn't come to school today.
It seemed like she had something to do with her mother.
As for Henry, he seemed to have an important contract to sign today, so he was also very busy.
Therefore, she planned to take a bus back after school.
Unexpectedly, before she could walk out of the school gate, she was stopped by a familiar voice.
Rosa was stunned. She looked at the man uneasily.
"Mr... Mr. Wright..." she called meekly.
Andy walked towards her, frowning as he said in a sad voice, "Since when did you see me as a stranger..."
Rosa bit her lip and said nothing.
"Are you free to grab a coffee with me?" Andy was a little nervous. He was really afraid that she would refuse him.
Rosa avoided his gaze. After thinking for a while, she said, "Mr. Wright, I still have..."
"It won't take long... Even if we can't be lovers, Can we... not even be friends anymore?" Andy said on the verge of tears.
It was incredibly depressing for him.
For so many years, he had never fallen in love with any girl.
She was the only one he had fallen for.
But he never expected their relationship to end so soon.
No one knew how much pain he went through every night.
His heart ached a thousand times more than that day he attempted suicide!
If he had held on a little longer, would they have a different ending than this?
Rosa saw Andy's teary eyes and felt bad for him.
"Alright then."
She didn't refuse him anymore.
It was because she knew.
She owed him.
Andy finally showed a faint smile after hearing her reply.
After leaving school, the two of them got to a cafe nearby.
"One Blue Mountain and a cup of Mocha. Thank you!" Andy said to the waiter with a smile.
"Okay, please wait a moment!"
The two of them sat on the sofa, watching the cars outside pass by. Both of them were silent.
After a while, the waiter served two cups of coffee.
"Enjoy!" The waiter left.
Rosa didn't know what to say, so she took a sip of the coffee to fill the awkward silence.
"I heard from Miranda that she invited you to her party tomorrow?" Finally, Andy broke the silence.
Moreover, his eyes were filled with curiosity.
Rosa frowned and didn't say anything.
However, her silence had given him an answer.
"Is he trying to introduce you to his parents?" Andy asked, seemingly seen through his actions.
"How did you know?" Rosa asked instinctively.
After asking the question, she was immediately embarrassed.
How could she ask it out loud?
Andy was stunned at first, and then he showed an extremely disappointed expression.
As it turned out, they were dating.
Even though he found out that the both of them had gone abroad and lived at Silver Beach together...
It wasn't as hurtful as hearing that they were dating.
Seeing his gaze, Rosa felt inexplicably uncomfortable.
"Rosa... How... could you accept him?" He said in disbelief.
Rosa placed her hands on her legs and clenched her fists tightly.
How should she explain it?
"So... forcing you into a relationship the right way to pursue you?"
He smiled bitterly, his laughter full of desolation and helplessness.
Hearing this, she looked up at him and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Mr. Wright... I'm sorry!"
Andy looked at her and smiled bitterly. His smile was heart-wrenching.
"Mr. Wright, don't be like this..."
He was her first love.
Seeing him like this, her heart really felt very painful.
He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down.
However, no one could see that he was pinched his leg hard.
It was as if he was punishing himself for being useless.
"Do you know his parents?"
He frowned and his voice was very gentle, but it was a question that she could not escape from.
"I apologize for my mother's past behaviour. But, Rosa, are you really ready to meet his parents? As far as I know, Mrs. Lewis is no better than my mother!"
Rosa nodded and said in a muffled voice, "I know."
She could tell from Miranda's description.
"Do you really know? Did you know that he fell in love with a girl in middle school? And because she came from a poor family, her life was ruined by his mother?"
Rosa was stunned and looked at him in disbelief.
"Then did you know who that girl married in the end? It's an old man in his fifties!"
Rosa's pupils twitched. She muttered to herself, "Married... to a man in his fifties..."
