Callum happened to be in the executive office today.

“Angela, come in,” Finn greeted her with a gentle smile. “Are you looking for my brother?”
Angela was taken aback. She had thought Finn was an orphan.
Noticing her confusion, Finn explained with a chuckle, “Callum sponsored me and raised me from a young age.
With that, the realization dawned on Angela. Now she understood why Callum had mentioned someone speaking highly of her. With this connection, it was no surprise she had been promoted to department head.
The thought made her feel a little disheartened.
“What is it?” Callum’s expression was cold and distant.
Angela quickly explained about her “resignation“, but Callum merely gave a faint smile.
“Don’t worry. No one can make you leave unless you choose to,” he said before resuming his work.
“I didn’t expect you and Mr. Snowden to be so close. No wonder you’re both so impressive,
Angela remarked casually to Finn.

He seemed distracted. His expression mirrored the cold, distant look Callum had earlier in the office.
“What’s wrong?” Angela asked.
She realized she might have pried too much and felt a bit awkward.
“There’s some tension between me and my brother, but it’s nothing,” Finn replied, quickly putting on a smile. “Would you like to grab lunch this afternoon? It’s been a while.”

In the afternoon, Finn was waiting for her downstairs to go to lunch. When she got in the car, she was surprised to see Callum there too. The atmosphere between him and Finn seemed to have relaxed, and it looked like their conflict had been resolved.
