Chapter 72
“Don’t worry. We can’t just let this slide.” Angela reassured Celine, patting her on the back gently.
Then, she turned to Nora and said, “If you think I’m being biased, let’s investigate this issue together and see what really happened.”
Nora’s expression darkened; the displeasure in her eyes grew even more evident.
Her fury was at its peak, yet she could do nothing but swallow it down.
Angela quickly called in the IT staff to restore the data on Nora’s laptop.
To everyone’s surprise, Nora immediately objected. “My laptop contains confidential information. How could they look at it?”
Angela was speechless.
“We can have them sign a non–disclosure agreement. If anything leaks, they’ll be held responsible. Do you still have a problem with that?” She shot Nora a brief glance, her gaze carried a hint of disdain.
Soon, Clara brought over the non–disclosure agreement prepared by the company’s legal department and politely handed them to the two technicians.
The two technicians signed the documents without any hesitation before setting up their tools to restore the files.
Noticing that things were getting out of her control, Nora staggered. Her expression turned pale.
Within minutes, the two technicians had restored all the files and images deleted from Nora’s laptop over the past month, regardless of the reason it was deleted. The most recently deleted items appeared at the top of the list.
Angela walked over and took a brief glance at the file name. It was a bunch of garbled text- something was off.
Before Nora could stop her, Angela had clicked the file open.
Instantly, a photo of Callum, taken secretly, appeared on the screen.
The room was immediately filled with surprised gasps.
There were dozens of photos in the file–all of Callum.
The shots were taken from strange angles, and some of the photos seemed rather suggestive.
Did Nora have feelings for Callum? Otherwise, why would she have all these photos of him?

“Angela, are you out of your mind?” Nora roared. She immediately rushed over and slammed her laptop shut.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you had a thing for secretly taking photos of people. My bad,” Angela replied coldly, raising an eyebrow with a hint of mockery.
Nora was at a loss of words. She shot Angela a nasty glare.
“This was what she meant by ‘confidential files? Why would anyone take the time to go through these pictures and delete them? She’s clearly making up lies about Celine!”
“That’s not even the point! She’s just a junior–level employee. How dare she harbor other intentions toward Mr. Snowden? I bet Mr. Snowden doesn’t even know who she is!”
“She’s twisted! How could she delete the files herself and then frame others for it? What
did Celine ever do to her?”
The room erupted with murmurs.
Angela, however, knew exactly what was going on.
The reason that Nora had accused Celine was not just to make her feel uncomfortable, but also to bring Angela down with her.
“Angela, just you wait!” Nora murmured, clenching her jaw tightly, before storming off.
