Chapter 1397 Beatrix’s Perilous Rivalry

Goodness, I don’t dare to imagine such a scene! Lexi thought to herself, quickly returning to reality.

Without dwelling on it, Lexi bid farewell to Beatrix, saying, “Take care of yourself!”

She had confidence in the current safety standards of Chanaea society and had to return home to discuss the day’s events with her father.

Beatrix did not think much about it either. She had often wandered around on her own before, never bothering with bodyguards. After all, she was not the head of the Quillen family. Who would even bother to kidnap her?

But unexpectedly, before she could even reach the sales office of the residential area, three cars suddenly stopped around her

What is going on? Beatrix was startled.

The next moment, a group of burly men poured out of the cars and ran toward her.

“What do you want? Help-”

Before she could finish the word “help,” her head was violently struck from behind by something, causing her vision to blur, and she collapsed to the ground.

Meanwhile, Frederick rode on Shane’s bicycle, with Shane sitting behind him, as they made their way back together to their rented house in Onza. The two of them kept chatting all the way!

Shane said to Frederick, “I advise you to give up on Ms. Beatrix! She is into me, and I really do not want you to get too involved and end up heartbroken later!”

“Nonsense! Ms. Beatrix likes you? How many wild mushrooms did you eat to hallucinate like this? Even if Ms. Beatrix has eyes for someone, it would not be you, right?” Frederick immediately retorted.

Frederick was not narcissistic, but compared to Shane, he could not help but feel superior in terms of looks and height as he was 1.76 meters tall, a whole head taller than Shane!

The two argued for a while, but in the end, neither could convince the other.

Shane suggested, brimming with confidence, “Alright! Since you insist on competing with me for Ms. Beatrix, let us make an agreement. We will both do our best, and no matter who Ms. Beatrix chooses in the end, the other one cannot cry or ruin the friendship between us!”

Ms. Beatrix has even kissed me. What does Frederick have to compete with? Shane asserted confidently in his mind.

Frederick exuded confidence as he warned Shane, “That’s exactly what I wanted! I was worried you would go back crying, claiming I stole your thunder!”

Frederick reassured himself. Although Ms. Beatrix does not write any love letters to me, her attitude toward me is obviously very good. If I put in some effort, I might end up like Emmanuel, marrying a rich young lady.

After agreeing, they both returned to their rooms and quickly dialed Beatrix’s number. Despite their shared nervousness about how to foster romantic feelings with Beatrix, the realization that they were now rivals spurred them into action.

They became increasingly anxious, their minds racing with various scenarios, especially given that Beatrix’s phone was completely unreachable. Both of them worried whether Beatrix might be talking to one of them on the phone.

On the other side, Beatrix slowly opened her eyes, feeling the brightness of the light. But in the next instant, she widened her eyes in panic! She found herself sitting on a chair in a small room, bound and gagged.

She was tied up!

Beatrix struggled hard, but she could not break free!

“Aidan, you b*stard! How dare you kidnap me? Release me now, or I will make sure you regret it! I will ensure you rot in jail!” Beatrix immediately began to angrily curse.
