Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 1398

Chapter 1398 Blind Date Gone Wrong

Beatrix, despite her innocent appearance, was not Aidan’s type at all!

He only enjoyed manipulating women, seeing them all as replaceable. He didn’t genuinely desire Beatrix Quillen.

He brought her back only to teach her a lesson and vent his anger!

“You scoundrel, let me go! How dare you touch me! Mackenzie and Emmanuel will make you pay!” Beatrix exclaimed, struggling to break free and even spitting at him.

“F*ck!”

Aidan wiped his face and then delivered a harsh slap across Beatrix’s face. “I warned you not to scream! Mackenzie and Emmanuel? What a joke! Do you think I, Mr. Summerton of the Tanner Family, fear them?”

Stunned by the slap, Beatrix glared at him fiercely, her face half-numb and blood trickling from her mouth.

“Hehe, but since you mentioned Mackenzie and Emmanuel, I have an interesting proposition for you.” Aidan pondered how to play with Beatrix when a brilliant idea hit him. He snapped his fingers.

“Your Quillen family also signed up for the Nuthana Grand Martial Showdown, right? Tomorrow night is the weekend carnival free-for-all. Do you think Emmanuel will come to your aid? Or will he step in on stage?”

Upon hearing this, Beatrix immediately felt a sense of dread, trembling as she asked, “W-What do you want?”

“Hehe, just a little game! Haven’t I lost to you twice already? This time, you’ll lose, and you’ll be at my beck and call, crawling when I say crawl, and fetching when I say fetch, haha…”

Aidan laughed, his face contorted like a crazed demon, unsettling Beatrix.

What a lunatic. I can’t predict his next move; he’s completely irrational.

Terence Group’s Onza branch.

At seven o’clock in the evening, Mackenzie rubbed her eyes and left the office, looking tired.

As the door swung open, she was momentarily surprised!

“Mackenzie!”

Emmanuel had been waiting by the door for a while. Knowing that Mackenzie had told Wally to drive her home, he had to catch her at the CEO’s office!

“What’s up?” Mackenzie saw Emmanuel and deliberately gave him a cold glance.

Which woman wouldn’t be upset to find out her husband had lied and was driving another woman home late at night?

Even if she was strong, she was still a woman!

“Well, I need to talk to you!” Emmanuel nodded. “I’ve made a reservation at a restaurant, and I’m taking you out for dinner!”

“Hmph, why would I eat with you? I’m perfectly capable of managing on my own!”

Mackenzie haughtily walked past him.

“Mackenzie!”

Emmanuel was no longer the naive man who had never experienced love. He quickly grabbed her wrist, refusing to let her go.

“Please don’t be mad at me. I didn’t deceive you or mean to hurt you. Can’t you trust me?”

Emmanuel pleaded earnestly

Seeing him like this, Mackenzie felt a twinge of relief. Thinking how Emmanuel used to be so full of energy during our whirlwind marriage, maybe it’s time for him to figure out how to make his wife happy. Considering how robust and confident he had been throughout their whirlwind marriage, maybe it was about time he grasped the art of satisfying his wife.
