Even though Parisa had lost all of her memories, she distinctly remembered having only one daughter.
The moment she reunited with her daughter, Florence immediately told her, "My name is Florence."
After arriving in Harmonia Country, Florence showed her the new ID card, which clearly stated her name as Florence Tennyson.
But now, the woman standing before her was insisting her daughter's name was... Whitney?
Parisa's dark eyes were a storm of confusion, her heart pounding like a drum. "Say that again. What did you say my daughter's name was?"
Yvonne, faced with Parisa's bewildered expression, was a bit taken aback.
She feared this woman had come back for revenge.
But something seemed off about Parisa.
"Are you... are you really Parisa? You've forgotten your daughter's name, or... have you lost your memory?" Yvonne pointed at her, eyeing Parisa's pale face with a mix of dread and suspicion.
Parisa admitted it straight away, grabbing Yvonne by the collar, "I have lost my memory!
But I remember living here, and being back makes me uncomfortable, which means something bad happened here.
You're terrified of me, which means you're hiding something.
Now tell me, what's my daughter's name, and how old is she?!"
Yvonne stared wide-eyed at this specter from her past. Parisa had amnesia?
Then she wouldn't remember that Yvonne had poisoned her, right?
But those sharp eyes seemed to cut right through her, as if Parisa could see everything.
Regardless of the situation, seeing Parisa's current attire and demeanor—she must be doing incredibly well, exuding a calm and commanding presence.
Yvonne feared what this woman might do to her.
If she didn't make a run for it now, when would she?
Yvonne mustered all her strength, shoved Parisa aside, and dashed into the villa, shouting, "I told you, her name is Whitney. If you're looking for your daughter, she hasn't lived here in ages. She's off in Emperor City, climbing the social ladder!
Leave me alone. I'm insignificant now. This rundown old villa surely isn't to your taste anymore, and there's nothing of value left from your father here. Just go!"
Yvonne slammed the door shut frantically, leaving Parisa blocked outside.
By the time Parisa managed to burst through the heavy oak door, the living room was empty.
Frowning, she noticed the back door was open. Heading outside, she found a small garden with a path leading to the road behind the house.
That woman must have fled.
Why was she so scared to see her?
Parisa didn’t give chase. It was clear enough that woman had done something terrible to her.
This villa, and that woman, were crucial clues.
But now, her mind was consumed by a revelation that chilled her to the bone.
She didn’t linger, swiftly leaving the Valentine Mountain Villa, getting back into her car, clutching the steering wheel tightly. Her thoughts raced, tearing apart the façade of memories Florence had constructed for her.
Parisa called Erik, straightforward and to the point. "Bring the security detail down the mountain and come find me. Don't mention anything to Florence!"
"Chairwoman, where are you? What's happened?"
"I'll explain when we meet."
After saying that, Parisa closed her eyes, trying to calm her frantic mind.
