Chapter 307
Brandon had been staring at the two Lovesick buckles that Andrew had hung up for two hours.
Brandon had to clench his fists to suppress the urge to rush out and take Savanna’s lovesick buckle to see what she had written He thought, am I in Savanna’s wish?
Is there Mandel? Mandel must be on it. But I… It was hard to say.
At seven o’clock, the young puritan came over to ask Brandon to go to the side hall for breakfast. Brandon finally saw
Savanna, as well as Cain, Neil, and Justin.
So many people came.
Savanna was talking to them happily. When Brandon thought of Savanna’s coldness toward him last night, he felt uncomfortable. He could stand the fact that Leo accompanied Savanna to get there for the sake of her safety. But since Cain also came, Brandon was not that generous anymore.
Everyone saw Brandon come in with a cold face, and they stopped talking and quieted down to eat breakfast.
Savanna looked at Brandon, ignoring the coldness on his face. She took a piece of bread and handed it to him. “Hurry up and eat. After eating, we can go down the mountain.”
Brandon took the bread. There happened to be an empty seat beside Savanna, and Brandon sat down without any hesitation. He picked up a piece of radish from Savanna’s bowl and chewed it hard.
Everyone could see that Brandon minded Cain, Leo, and the others going up the mountain.
Savanna knew that Brandon was used to being overbearing. She did not say anything but just smiled at him. And then she lowered her head to eat the food in the bowl.
After they finished eating, Savanna and Brandon went to bid farewell to Andrew. They walked to the meditation room and waited. But they didn’t see Andrew but the young puritan. The young puritan said to them, “Mr. Jones has gone down the mountain for travel. Miss, before Mr. Jones left, he told you to remember his words.”
Savanna nodded. “I will remember what Mr. Jones said.”
On the way down the mountain, Brandon could not help but ask Savanna curiously, “What did Andrew say to you?”
Savanna looked at him and did not want to increase the burden on his heart, so she said, “Mr. Jones didn’t say anything. He just asked me to take his medicine. He said that his medicine only cured fated people.”
Brandon was convinced by Savanna’s words.
Brandon reached out to smooth the wrinkles between Savanna’s eyebrows. “Don’t worry, Mr. Jones’ medicine can cure you.”
After returning to New York, Rex immediately took the medicine that Andrew gave Savanna to the medical testing center.
The report not only surprised Rex but also made the medicine research team under him happy. The problem that they could not solve was actually solved by Andrew.
The two medicines that Andrew used were not the two that the research team had thought of. However, Andrew could replace them with another two medicines, which had similar effects and were beyond the research team’s expectations.
This was a piece of good news that could cheer up Rex and the others.
Rex felt that he could finally stop staying in the laboratory all day.
He called Brandon and told Savanna to take the medicine without worry. He also said that Andrew was worthy of his reputation as an immortal puritan.
If there was a chance, Rex would go to Spiritual Mountain to visit Andrew.
Savanna began to take the medicine Andrew gave her.
On the day Brandon and Savanna returned to New York, Aldo kept calling Brandon. Brandon was forced to return to Philadelphia with Rex.
Lorena took the poison by mistake. Because of the high dosage, her organs were failing. Aldo could not find Brandon and signed the operation agreement on behalf of Lorena’s family. After the experts diagnosed, they quickly took emergency measures for Lorena’s illness. Before taking measures, the doctor did a comprehensive physical examination for Lorena and found the cancer cells in her esophagus.
Lorena had advanced-stage esophagus cancer.
Brandon stood at the door of the ward and listened to Aldo’s choked words. Brandon did not speak, but his lips turned pale.
His aura was cold and oppressive.
