Chapter 508 The Man in Black
“Follow him.”
In the back seat of the black car, Finn’s pale face was hidden in the darkness.
He had been getting seriously ill these days, and his face was almost bloodless, as pale as a sheet.
He quickly lost weight. His face, which had been angular, to begin with, was now skinny. His cheekbones were covered with a thin layer of skin as if they could break through at any time.
Gerald started the car and followed behind Brandon’s car. A heart–wrenching cough came from the back seat again. The smell of blood spread in the air.
Finn coughed out blood again. The frequency of his cough recently rose sharply.
Gerald saw his increasingly pale face from the rearview mirror in the car and said with distress, “Mr. Orwell, why don’t you go back? I will follow Mr. Cassel. If anything happens, I will report it to you immediately.”
“No, I have to watch him myself. The right opportunity is fleeting. I don’t have that much time.”
Finn frowned and quickly covered his mouth with a handkerchief. This time, he vomited a large pool of blood, and the entire handkerchief was soaked.
“Mr. Orwell, let’s go back to the hospital. You can’t do this!” Gerald held the steering wheel tightly and even wanted to turn directly to the hospital. “Dr. Sharp said that you should stay in the hospital and recuperate now.”
Finn didn’t want to listen to Gerald’s preaching. Finn was tortured by the illness and felt uncomfortable.
“Will being hospitalized help me get better? It’s just a difference of three months and two months. It’s meaningless for me to stay in the hospital and live for another month!”
The reason why Finn was fatigued by a long journey while being sick was that he wanted to arrange everything before he died.
Finn was unwilling to let his useless cousin, Daryl, be the heir to the Orwell family. He must get this problem fixed before he died.
If Finn didn’t make preparations, that bastard Daryl would definitely make a move on Lilia when Finn died.
Daryl was a madman who could do anything. Finn would never allow Lilia to be threatened.
“But Mr. Orwell…”
“There’s no but.” Finn said in a firm tone, “If you don’t want Daryl to ruin your family, just drive!
You have been loyal to me for so many years. Even if I die, I won’t treat you unfairly.”
Gerald’s eyes were wet. He knew Finn was affectionate and righteous, so he was worried about Finn’s body.
But fate was unfair.
Gerald raised his hand to wipe the tears in his eyes and then focused on driving.
Soon, the black car followed the Rolls–Royce all the way to the amusement park.
The Rolls–Royce stopped at the entrance of the amusement park. Savanna walked out of the passenger seat and opened the door of the back seat of the car, taking Tye out. Tye seemed quite excited.
The little boy was wearing a pair of cowhide and leggings. His top and hat both had houndstooth. His skin was fair, and his facial features were perfect. He was like a model.
Brandon parked the car, and the mother walked to the amusement park, holding their hands.
This was the first time in Tye’s life that he entered an amusement park. In the past, when he had had autism, he had been most afraid of places that had many people. At that time, he wanted to hide every time he saw many people.
Now it was different. Through the training at a special school, not only did he become unafraid of people, but he was also full of curiosity about these new things.
“Mom, what is that big wheel?” Tye pointed to the rotating Ferris wheel in front of him and asked.
“It’s a Ferris wheel. Do you see the small carriages hanging on it?” Brandon walked over with his long legs. He picked up Tye and wrapped him around his arm. “You can sit there. Do you want to try it?”
Tye nodded with excitement in his eyes. “I want to go!”
“Let’s go, honey. Our son wants to try the Ferris wheel.”
Brandon held his wife’s delicate hand and headed for the first stop of the amusement park, the Ferris wheel.
