Chapter 68 Don’t Ever Think About Apologizing! Clarissa remained silent and returned to the office, her face livid. It wasn’t until six in the evening did she return to her dormitory. Landon, who was also in the dormitory, saw Clarissa and promptly greeted her, “Hey! You’re back!”
Lily immediately glared at Landon.
She had already explained to Landon about Clarissa and Damien’s marriage, but she never explained it in detail. Since Lily could see that Landon had a secret crush on Clarissa, she didn’t want him to get his hopes up.
Landon asked, “Why are you back?” “I don’t want to talk about it! I’ll never believe anyone ever again!” Clarissa said, flinging hier bap on the bed in anger.
“What exactly happened to you?” Lily asked, “Let’s go out and have some barbeque! It’s Landon’s treat today. If i knew you were spending the nightiere today, I would’ve gone to your office and asked.”
“Come on, let’s go! Tomorrow’s Saturday, and we don’t have to wake up early for work.” Landon egged. He was as giddy as a child, not expecting to bump into Clarissa today. Clarissa was still preoccupied with her thoughts. The reason I told Luke about my pregnancy is to stop him from pulling any more tricks on me. Even after I explained everything to Damien, why won’t he believe that I’m not pregnant? He’s even convinced that I’ve aborted the child without his consent!”
“Let’s go then,” Clarissa said, still upset about her terrible day
The three of them walked out of the dormitory. Since Landon was there, Lily didn’t ask Clarissa any questions about her day. One thing Lily was certain or was that Clarissa must’ve argued with Damien again. Damien was probably furious about Clarissa’s miscarriage. Still, wasn’t it obvious to Damien that Clarissa was laking her pregnancy? She even did a pregnancy test as proof!
Fortunately, Clarissa still had a place to return to after her fight with Damien.
Just as Damien was driving out of the underground car park, he saw the three of them chatting merrily outside the dormitory. A dark frown appeared on his lips. What a heartless woman! Even at a time like this, she can still hang out with lier friends.”
Still furious, he drove to the main road and disappeared from their sicht. When he came back home, his grandfather demanded, “Why is Clarissa not home yet?”
Damien sluipped to the sola and massaged his forchead as he replied, “She’s back at her dormitory.” “Why? What happened?”
LEHEHE, 17H. Aamuy
Damien stayed silent for a while before answering, “Grandpa,” “What’s wrong?” “Our baby’s gone. She miscarried.” Damien felt bad for breaking the news to his grandfather. He knew his grandfather had been wanting a grandchild for the longest time. Contrary to Damien’s predictions, the news didn’t roll tlic old man up whatsoever. Instead, Grandpa Lawrence said, “That’s okay. You don’t have to feel guilty about it. Clarissa doesn’t have to feel bad, either. I’m sure she’ll be pregnant again in no time. Don’t you agree?”
His grandfather stared at Damien, eyes glimmering with hope.
