Glen's POV

"That's a very good question Glen. You see once you are caught up in the smoke of the dark abyss without taking the potion that they have created to protect you then they say that you can never escape anymore" the teacher said and I got sad that moment while looking at him.

"But there is a way to escape from it but this is a little bit complicated and challenging-"

"So there's a way and how come it's a bit challenging and complicated" I cheered but got confused at the end of my words making the teacher chuckle at my question.

The teacher just smiled and looks at me. "You really are very fond of asking questions aren't you Glen" the teacher said looking at me.

Once something caught my attention and interest. I will do everything so that I could know everything about it. And I mean everything that means bombarding you with lots of questions and if you won't answer them, I will keep on pestering you until you spill it out.

"I get that a lot teacher, so could you tell me how, please..." I said with a puppy eyes that no one can resist, that's what I think.

"Besides teacher I'm the only student here" I reasoned out and the teacher got confused but then he looks around and the teacher's face fall down in defeat.

Okay… okay never thought that everyone would sleep when I told them the story he mumbles while I just stare at him.

The teacher chuckles while looking down at me then sigh and glance at the whole class again. I look around also and saw that everyone was asleep.

(What do you expect this teacher told a story instead of teach us something) I thought while looking around at my classmates.

"I guess I have no choice and tell you since you're the only student who ever listen to things like this- aren't I" the teacher said and I just giggled before he look at the other side and then pull a chair and sit beside me and started telling me the possible escape route once you got stuck on it.

There are two possible cases where the smoke of the dark abyss will either appear when a person is suddenly being engulfed and over thrown by their conscience-" he paused for a moment before continuing.

"-then the other reason is if there is an enemy attack. But I assure you that won't happen since this place is being fully protected" the teacher immediately said when he looks down at me trying to see if I will get sab but it turns out that I was so excited and smiling happily making him chuckle again.

"The only way is to find the person who is responsible for releasing the smokes remember the one who is responsible is always the one that always lose consciousness since it is always inevitable that lots of people might get inside the smoke he said while looking at me seriously and I nod proudly while listening to him.

(Why am I even telling this kind of information to a child he said in disbelief while I just look at him?)

“Teacher don't try and cut your story and tell me already” I sassily said and he looked at me in shock and I pouted at him.

“Okay okay. Geeez no need to pout like that" he said and I immediately look up at him in full bright eyes.

"Yes. Please I want to know it please....." I immediately said and he ruffles my hair. I just giggle at him.

"Okay then brace yourself, Glen. The only way is to find the person who is responsible for the smokes to appear and wake them up. And just like that the smokes will disappear immediately" the teacher glance at the window for a moment and I just look at the teacher.

"But if you won't find no one then you're doomed, right" I suddenly said and the teacher look at me with a surprised expression.

"That won't happen since the warriors and soldiers will come and save you, kid" the teacher said while standing up and smiling at me.

"How do you know all of this teacher? Did you-" I was cut off by the sudden sound of the ringing bell.

"Goodbye Glen" he immediately said and the students suddenly began to wake up from there slumber.

"Teacher could-"

"Time for your next class Glen" he said trying to change the subject.

I just went out of the room like everyone else but before that I turn around and look at the teacher.

"Thank you, teacher. I hope to see you again tomorrow" I cheered and the teacher was taken by surprise so he just smiled at me

But that tomorrow never came. And up until now I never saw that teacher again. I tried asking the other teachers of where the teacher is but they just said that there was no teacher back then making me get confused.

They told me that I talked to a ghost making us all get scared that time.

I hope that what that teacher said back then was true and I just didn’t dream that to happen I mumble while I look at Kaylee. I tried to shake her up hoping that she would wake up immediately.

But nothing happens and she was just still unconscious so I used all my strength to shout her name and at the same time I shake her body while praying that she should wake up.

(Please don't leave me like this. Couz please wake up....)

"Kaylee you fucking need to get up now" I shouted while harshly shaking her body making her roll side to side.

"Don't you fucking sleep around while I'm trying to save your ass here" I protested while still trying to wake up.

Still she wouldn't wake up so I repeat it until I saw her head moved and her eyes flicker for a moment so I continued to rant and told her unnecessary things.

“I still have the lots of dream to achieve. And you still have to lose your virginity before you die.

You have to find a boyfriend and don’t---"

I groan in pain and grip the cloth that covers my chest tighter I tried to hit my chest to ease the pain.

(What is really happening? Why does my body hurts like hell? Argggggggg) I groan and tried to make the pain go away.

But even though how many times I hit my chest harder and harder hoping to ease the pain but to my dismay nothing is happening, it's only getting worse as time pass by.

"Stop that, GLEN... Please.... PLEASE HELP US" she screams while trying to hold my hand so that I would stop hitting my chest.

"IT HURTS" I shouted while panting heavily and I was now crying in pain.

My vision is blurry and it feels like everything is spinning as I look at the ground.

(Am I going to die here? What is going to happen now) I thought while looking at her who is panicking.

I can’t even hear her properly. The words are unclear and I cant understand even a thing.

My breathing was irregular like my body was being restrained from functioning. It felt like I was being trapped in a container that has no way out.

(At least I manage to save her) I thought while closing me eyes but then.

It suddenly stopped making me relax and open my eyes while I groan in relief but I thought so soon my body suddenly started to ache and I feel so hot like I was burning.

It was so unexplainable that it makes me feel weak at the moment but this is much better than what I felt on my chest since at least I can take the pain.

Although I still can't even move my body I’m still relieved that I’m not going to die.

I suddenly felt nauseous so I used all of my force and raise my head and puked beside me. I feel a hand rubbing my back and it really helped ease the pain.

"Glen..." Kaylee said in worry and I turn to look at her and smile trying to reassure her that it’s okay.

"Glen......." I hear Kaylee say again and pull me close and tried to use all his power to heal me.

"Glen what is happening to you. Come on Glen don't scare me like this" I hear Kaylee say in worry as she tries to heal me.

My body felt weak and my vision is getting blurry and suddenly my body became numb. Then suddenly everything starts to fade and I could only see black figures, nothing but only pitch black.

And before I totally lose unconsciousness, I heard her scream my name while crying.
