Chapter 415
Grace wasn’t the slightest bit worried as she watched Irvin make multiple phone calls.
She had arrived just as I left the lounge, so she knew Irvin had been with me. Hence, she had already made the necessary preparations.
Not only had she tampered with the building’s security footage, but she had even dealt with Emma and the bodyguards I had sent to the lounge to move Irvin.
Grace and the masked man had taken care of all of them. If the military hadn’t taken me away, I too would’ve vanished from Claudeville.
At this thought, she couldn’t help dwelling a little longer on the masked man. She had no idea why he was helping her so much.
Right now, they might be on the same side, but he was helping her too much. Additionally, he also knew far too much about her and Irvin. Most importantly, for some strange reason, the masked man felt familiar to her.
When Irvin couldn’t locate me, he persistently checked the security footage. However, it had already been doctored by Grace’s people, so he couldn’t find any footage that pointed to me. Not only that, Irvin instead found footage showing Grace had entered the lounge shortly after he did.
This made him snap. Like a madman, he lunged at her again and mercilessly clamped his hands around her neck. This time, Irvin really would strangle Grace to death.
If something really had happened between them, it meant he no longer had any hope of being with me. And if this were the case, what was the point of living? He felt continuing with this life would be worse than death, so he might as well stop living.
Grace could tell Irvin was truly intent on killing her this time. The pain of suffocation made her feel that the next second might be her last. Yet, she refused to tell the truth.
Despite feeling her impending death, Grace clung to her lie. She was truly relentless.
But of course, the only reason she could be so obstinate was that she had already called for help. The moment she had found Irvin, she had called Agatha and asked her to come over.
Grace hadn’t come this far just to die. She wanted to control both the Hardwell and Keller families and stand at the very top. Dying had never been a part of her plan.
Hence, just as Grace was on the verge of blacking out, the door to the room burst open with a loud bang.
Agatha stormed in, and the moment she saw what was happening, her eyes widened. Rushing forward, she yelled, “Let go of her, Timothy!”
However, Agatha’s stern tone didn’t make Irvin relent. Instead, he squeezed even harder.
Seeing that Grace was on the verge of suffocating to death, Agatha frantically hit Irvin’s arms.
“Let her go now, Irvin! If you dare kill Grace, I swear I’ll go after Emilia Quill! Even if it means I’ll go down with her, I’ll make sure she meets the same fate as Grace!” Agatha threatened.
The crazed Irvin seemed to calm down upon hearing this. Since he didn’t see a point in living, it didn’t matter to him if he died. However, he couldn’t allow that to happen to me. Irvin would never allow me to be put in any danger.
When he released Grace, her face was already so blue that she would’ve died if he had continued for a second longer. Having had her life almost completely strangled out of her, Grace limply fell to the floor with a thud.
Agatha immediately knelt to check on her condition. Grace started spasming–maybe due to a severe lack of oxygen.
She was utterly frightened by the sight, and she panickedly yelled at her people to send Grace to the hospital.
Irvin didn’t stop them from leaving. He had many ways of killing someone, and he would make sure Grace died in the most
