Andrew frowned and quickly stepped aside. 

Laura’s hand hovered in the air, and she gave him a playful look.” 

Seriously? You handled stuff like this all the time when you were abroad. Why are you avoiding it now? Trying to be all professional?” 

“Laura!” Andrew’s voice grew more serious. 

“Okay, okay, I’ll stop teasing you. But I really do have something important to talk about. It’s lunchtime, so let’s discuss it over food.” 

Andrew was thinking about Madelyn, but since it wasn’t urgent, he agreed. 

They all headed down to the underground parking garage. 

Madelyn was still standing there, crying like a little kid. 

As soon as Andrew stepped out of the elevator, he saw her standing under the lights not far away, and his heart dropped. 

Rowan and Laura spotted Madelyn too, and they instinctively exchanged a glance. 

Madelyn’s heart sank as she realized Andrew was actually heading to lunch with a beautiful woman. When she finally got a clear look at the woman’s face, her stomach dropped, and she went pale. 

It was… Laura Cooper. 

She had only seen a photo of her once, but there was no mistaking her. 

In her past life, after Andrew divorced her, he flew straight to Felasko and spent two weeks with Laura. 

Even though Andrew had shown up for her when she needed him most, she couldn’t help but feel an uneasy tension toward Laura. 

“Rowan, take Ms. Cooper to lunch. If there’s anything important, we’ll handle it in the office this afternoon.” 

Before Rowan or Laura could say anything. Andrew walked over to Madelyn. When he got closer, he saw that her eyes were filled with tears. 

He realized he had made a mistake. When it occurred to him that she might have run into them, he should have come down to find her first. 

Laura was a close friend from his time abroad, so he was certain Madelyn definitely knew who Laura was. 

Madelyn, clearly upset, tried to leave, but Andrew grabbed her wrist and pulled her toward her car. Madelyn tried to pull away, but he wouldn’t let go. 

Rowan watched everything and instantly lost any good opinion he had of Madelyn. “Ms. Laura, let’s go. Mr. Miller might join us later.” 

Laura watched without any change in her expression as Andrew drove away with Madelyn. She asked, “Why did Andrew marry someone like that? She doesn’t have any grace at all. How can he take her anywhere?” 

Rowan stayed quiet. 

“She truly doesn’t have any grace. What kind of behavior is that? What if it had been a client? Crying like that would’ve made Andrew look bad,” Rowan thought to himself. 

Laura didn’t know that Madelyn had grown up at the Miller residence, so she naturally thought Madelyn wasn’t good enough for Andrew. 

In the car, Laura looked at Rowan and asked, “How did they meet?” 

She was talking about Andrew and Madelyn.
