Chapter 67
Madelyn froze, her mind racing to connect the dots. Athena had always disliked Natalle, for reasons Madelyn couldn’t fathom. She rarely allowed her Into the Miller residence except for major events.
In contrast, Lance had always shown a soft spot for Natalie and quietly supported her. The cost of setting up Starlight Entertainment for Natalie was just a drop in the Millers‘ financial bucket.
“But isn’t she implying something is between you two?” Madelyn hung her head, feeling distressed. She wondered if she looked like an easy target, with everyone seemingly lining up to provoke her.
“Wouldn’t you know if something was going on between her and me?” Andrew questioned.
Madelyn fell silent again at his question. Despite their strained
relationship over the years, Andrew could always be found at home or in the office. He always made it home on time every evening, so there was no chance of him being involved with other women.
Still, she was upset and kept silent.
Andrew gently caressed her cheek, his voice soothing as he said, ” Stop being mad, okay?”
Madelyn lowered her head, her mind racing. Remembering Andrew’s earlier words about Natalie, she asked, “Did you really fire her from the company?”
After all, Lance had founded that agency for Natalie.
Andrew paused, recalling the words that had slipped out in anger during his phone call with Natalie. He stated, “It’s time to pass
Starlight Entertainment to her now that she’s capable. I’m stepping away from it.”
Andrew was stepping away from it? Madelyn thought it might be a good idea, especially after tonight’s event. He should probably keep his distance from Natalie as much as possible.
Andrew dialed Leonard Yancey’s number right before Madelyn to ease
her worry.
Leonard picked up almost immediately. He greeted, “Andrew.”
“From tomorrow onward, you’ll be moving from Starlight Entertainment to Aura Entertainment,” Andrew declared.
