“What should we do?” Carried asked worriedly.

The others who had initially dismissed Madelyn watched in astonishment as she quickly assessed the situation. It had taken them all night to understand their opponent’s capabilities, but she had done it in minutes.

Madelyn reentered the system, maintaining control for about three minutes this time. She had to admit that their adversary was skilled.

Madelyn turned to Jackson, whose expression had turned grim, and said, “Some files have been transferred. Do you want

them back?”

“What?”

Carrie was too shocked to speak.

Jackson’s expression darkened as he looked at Madelyn. “Do you have a solution?”

“Of course!”

The company’s database was extensive, and transferring all the files would take considerable time. Hence, they had to search for the files quickly.

“Thank you for your help,” Jackson said gratefully.

In less than five minutes, his dismissive attitude had turned into respectful gratitude.

Madelyn turned around and took out her phone to make a call. The call was quickly picked up, and without waiting for the other person to speak, she said, “Log into your account immediately. I’ll send you the code.”

“Got it.”

With that, Madelyn hung up and sent a string of code. When she entered the main control zone this time, she tracked and intercepted the opponent’s actions.

Everyone watched Madelyn’s deft, efficient moves with bated

breath.

Jackson’s face fell when the screen showed the file transfer in progress. “That file can’t get out.”
