What happened to Chris? Why was he covered in blood? Was he injured? Dreams like this usually meant something 

The night before my parents‘ car accident, I had a bad dream too. I dreamed that my two front teeth fell out and bled profusely, and I woke up crying in fear. The next day, my parents had their accident and left me forever. 

I felt a wave of panic, and I even forgot the way Brandon was looking at me. It wasn’t until his hand touched my forehead and gently wiped away the cold sweat that he spoke softly. 

“Did you have a nightmare?” 

His voice brought me back to reality, and I realized he must have heard me calling out for Chris in my dream. 

Not wanting him to misunderstand, I explained, “I dreamed of Chris standing at the foot of the bed, covered in blood. I asked him what was wrong, but he didn’t answer me.” 

“Don’t worry, dreams are often the opposite of reality. If you’re concerned, you can call him to check.” Brandon unexpectedly suggested that I call Chris. 

Shouldn’t he be jealous in this situation? If it were Chris, he would definitely be jealous. 

I looked outside and saw the sky was getting bright. So, I snuggled into Brandon’s arms and closed my tired eyes. “I’m sleepy. I want to sleep a bit more.” 

“Sure.” Brandon stroked my head with his large hand. His tenderness toward me was just as usual, showing no signs of anger or jealousy. 

But I was too exhausted and soon fell asleep again without thinking about anything. In my daze, I felt Brandon kissing my forehead and heard his low voice. 

“You’re still worried about him.” 

I wanted to say something, but my mouth wouldn’t move. When I woke up, it was already 9:00a.m. I knew I was going to be late for work. I noticed that Brandon had already left. 

My body ached as if it had been taken apart and put back together. It seemed that there was some truth. in what was written in novels. 

Lying in bed, my mind flashed back to the passionate night with Brandon, the dream I had in the middle of the night, and Brandon’s words.
