Chapter 109
The moment the Lycan King appeared, the air turned suffocating. His shadow beasts surged forward, their snarls echoing through the crystalline clearing as they clashed with Cassian and the others. Aurora stood at the edge of the glowing lake, her silver hair catching the radiance of the Pact as its energy coursed through her.
“You can’t protect them,” the Lycan King sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. “You can’t even protect yourself.”
Cassian’s blade gleamed as he met the first wave of shadow beasts, each strike precise and unyielding. Anica fought beside him, their spells searing through the darkness, but the beasts seemed endless, their forms regenerating with unnatural speed.
Aurora felt the Pact’s power pulling her closer to the lake. She extended her hands, drawing its energy into herself. A burst of radiant light erupted, driving back several beasts. Yet the Lycan King remained unfazed.
“You’re playing with forces beyond your comprehension,” he said, his glowing eyes fixed on Aurora.
Darting forward, the Lycan King swung a massive claw at Cassian. The force of the blow sent him sprawling, blood staining the crystalline ground as he struggled to rise.
“Cassian!” Aurora screamed, her voice cracking with fear.
