Luna Aurora novel (Alpha Fenrir) novel Chapter 15

Chapter 15

The days after Aurora and Lila’s arrival were filled with quiet observation and tentative steps into the life of Cassian’s pack. Aurora quickly learned that this pack was unlike anything she’d known. Wolves mingled freely regardless of rank, and decisions seemed to be made with a sense of shared purpose rather than the rigid hierarchy she had grown used to. It was a world that felt strange yet oddly comforting.

Despite the warm welcome, Aurora couldn’t ignore the toll her condition was taking. The mornings were the hardest. Each day began with a wave of nausea so intense it left her gripping the edge of the bed, her breath shallow. Fatigue clung to her like a weight she couldn’t shake, and even the smallest tasks left her drained.

Lila noticed the changes immediately. “Aurora,” she murmured one morning as she set a cup of tea in front of her daughter. “You can’t keep pushing yourself like this. The children are drawing on your strength. It’s no wonder you’re feeling this way—they’re powerful, even now.”

Aurora stared at the tea, her stomach twisting at the faint steam rising from it. “What if someone notices?” she whispered. “What if they figure out what I’m hiding?”

“They won’t, not unless you let them,” Lila replied firmly, squeezing her hand. “But you can’t let fear destroy your body. Take it one day at a time.”
