Chapter 139 Do You Know Mr. Fitzgerald?
Herbert didn't want to reveal that Brandon and Evan had also been arrested, so he used John to probe vaguely.
George just shook his head meaningfully, clearly not wanting to say more.
Herbert felt a sense of foreboding and argued, "Mr. Thompson, I pay at least tens of millions in taxes to the country every year. You have to let me know who we've offended, at least!"
George seemed out of options. He sighed and asked, "Do you know Mr. Fitzgerald from Veridon?"
Herbert's mind went numb for a moment, and he stammered, "Mr. Fitzgerald from Veridon? Are you kidding me? How could I know such a big shot?"
Although he had some connections, they were nowhere near comparable to the favored son of Veridon.
How could he have the qualifications to know such a tycoon?
Herbert thought to himself, "Mr. Thompson suddenly brings him up... Could it be that the person we've offended this time is Mr. Fitzgerald? Oh no!"
Herbert's legs began to tremble, but he still couldn't accept the reality.
"Oh, Mr. Thompson, please be clear. I have no dealings with the Fitzgerald family. I couldn't possibly have offended him!"
George scoffed coldly and said indifferently, "Your son kidnapped his wife and tried to rape her. Now you dare say you haven't offended Mr. Fitzgerald?"
"John kidnapped Mr. Fitzgerald's wife? We're doomed..." At the thought, Herbert's legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground in despair.
George shook his head and called a police officer to help him out.
Herbert was finally brought to his senses by the cold wind and hurriedly made a call for help.
The first time, there was no answer.
The second time, he was blocked directly.
Herbert was so angry that he almost smashed his phone.
With nowhere to vent his anger, he clenched his teeth and rushed back to the villa as fast as he could.
