Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 172

On the envelope, it was written “To Dear Lumma”.

Lumma opened it and found a letter from Keeley.

“Lumma, I am so glad to have met you as a friend!

I am grateful for the strength you gave me when I needed it most to keep on living.

From now on, I will live well and never do anything stupid again.

But George is a very paranoid and controlling person. He will never easily let me go. If I want to get rid of him completely, I can only go to a place he doesn’t know about.

I know you will probably tell me that Mr. Hills can protect me, but relying on others is never a long-term solution.

As a child, I relied on my family, and as an adult, I relied on George just to survive, living a life

worse than a dog’s.

From now on, I don’t want to rely on anyone else to live my life. I want to follow my heart and live

the life I want.

In the future, there will be no luxury cars or houses. It may be tough and tiring, but it’s what I truly want. Please don’t worry about me.

Also, George installed a tracking device on my phone. He can see my location at any time, so I can’t take my phone with me.

Please remember to charge my phone and delay others from discovering that I have left, giving me

more time to escape.

Lumma suddenly realized that despite the vastness of the world, it was challenging for Keeley to find a safe haven in the face of absolute power.

Meanwhile, an uninvited guest arrived at Adam’s home.

Adam stepped aside to let him in. “You came to Red Pine City, that’s one thing. But why did you come to my house? Are you here to inform Keeley of your presence, or are you hoping to hasten her escape?”

George lit a cigarette and took several puffs. “Tell Lumma to mind her own business. Keeley has no one to rely on, so she’ll naturally come back to me.”

Adam sneered, “If it weren’t for Lumma, Keeley would be dead by now. You made a mistake, don’t

try to push the blame onto my wife.”

“Your wife?” George looked at Adam as if sizing up a stranger. “She hasn’t even acknowledged you. as her husband, and yet you’re willing to protect her like that? Adam, that’s not how you treat

women.”

“First and foremost, Lumma is not just any woman, she’s my wife. If I don’t protect her, then who will? Should I, like you, mistreat my wife and then regret it when she’d rather die than be with me?” Adam’s retort silenced George immediately.
