In this scene, Lumma’s heart almost jumped out in fright.
She bounced back subconsciously, and accidentally hit her head on the car window behind her, causing her dazed by the pain.
Lumma ignored the pain and observed Adam immediately. Fortunately, Adam was probably asleep and didn’t know anything about what just happened.
Lumma breathed a sigh of relief and patted her chest lightly. Since Adam didn’t notice that she was sleeping on his shoulder, she acted as if nothing had happened just now.
As long as she didn’t say it, no one would know that she was sleeping on his shoulder.
While Lumma was trying to comfort herself, Adam opened his eyes. The eyes under the silver-rimmed glasses were staring at her, especially creepy.
Lumma stuttered in fright, “Mr. Hills, when did you wake up?”
He looked at her flustered face with a cold face. She didn’t know how to cry out the pain when she hit her head. The more he looked at her, the more ugly his face was. “Does it matter when I wake up?”
Lumma thought she was doomed in her heart. His face was so ugly, and his tone was so unfriendly. Adam must have misunderstood her, thinking that she was sticking to him on purpose, thinking that she had unreasonable thoughts towards him.
Lumma hurriedly explained, “Mr. Hills, I leaned on your shoulder for some reason after I fell asleep. I didn’t mean to sleep on your shoulder. I swear, if I think about you with other thoughts, I’ll die…”
Before she finished speaking, Adam made a sudden move and pressed her lips with his fingers. “Try to say another word of nonsense.”
This action was extremely ambiguous. Lumma was so frightened that her whole body was tense and numb. She stepped back, but behind her was the closed car door, she had no way to retreat.
Her fair and tender face was flushed. She looked like she was about to cry from fright. “Mr. Hills.”
Before be did anything excessive, he scared his wife to tears.
The evil factor stirred in Adam’s mind. And there was a terrible voice in his heart, shouting and screaming, just to make her cry in his arms.
