Chapter 190 You’re Really Standing Up!
Sofia Schneider had one Achilles‘ heel: she was unafraid of most things but couldn’t handle snakes.
If she had no choice but to use a snake for medicinal purposes, she could suppress her revulsion.
But seeing a huge golden python in this situation was disastrous for her.
Nathaniel Hart noticed Sofia’s discomfort immediately.
He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, turning her toward him, letting her hide in his embrace.
He mentally cursed Eric Wilson from head to toe.
What was wrong with this pervert? The snake wasn’t supposed to be here; it had been moved.

If Nathaniel had known, he wouldn’t have brought Sofia inside.
Nathaniel held Sofia, gently patting her back, and reassured her, “Don’t be scared, I’m here.”
Sofia pushed the image of the snake out of her mind, then looked up at Nathaniel.
“I’m not scared, just a bit disgusted,” she said.
Seeing her face improving, Nathaniel said, “I’ll take you to the back, away from here.”
“Okay,” Sofia nodded, not wanting to stay near the python any longer.
As they walked, Sofia heard various animal sounds. By listening carefully, she could identify at least twenty or thirty different kinds.
Sofia had trouble looking at Eric now. It seemed the rumors were true.
This Wilson family outcast was indeed eccentric.

Nathaniel originally wanted to show Sofia the tables, but the sounds along the way made him reconsider.
He hadn’t been to Eric’s place in a long time and had no idea hoor much the layout had changed.
If Sofia saw more strange animals, Nathaniel would be heartbroken.
When Nathaniel stopped walking. Sofia asked, “What’s wrong? Why are we stopping?”
“Wait a moment, I need to make a call, Nathaniel said, taking out his phone. He called Bruce Collier instead of Eric.
Sofia wasn’t trying to look at Nathaniel’s phone, but she caught a glimpse of the name.
The surname Collier was rare, and someone Nathaniel knew must belong to that family.
When the call connected, Nathaniel asked, “Did Eric move the stables?”
“How would I know?” Bruce’s tone was irritated, and noisy background sounds suggested he’d been interrupted. “Ask him yourself…
Bruce then paused, shocked. “Nathaniel, why are you asking this? Are you at Eric’s place?”
“Yeah,” Nathaniel replied. “Since you don’t know. I’ll hang up.
“Wait, damn it, Nathaniel, you’re okay? WTF…
Bruce’s words were cut off as Nathaniel ended the call.
Nathaniel put away his phone and took Sofia’s hand. “Whatever we see, don’t be too surprised.”
Sofia nodded. “I just have a problem with snakes; the rest doesn’t bother me.”
In fact, Sofia had encountered far more terrifying creatures in her past.
No matter how strange Eric’s place was, it couldn’t be worse than what she’d seen in the rainforest.
Indeed, as Sofia expected, most of Eric’s animals were common.

Besides the golden python, there were just a few lizards and such–nothing too scary.
Finally, Nathaniel found the stables and led Sofia inside.
When Sofia saw a particular foal, her eyes lit up.
It was the foal she had wanted at an auction. She had to leave the auction early due to unforeseen circumstances, and Eric had ended up buying it.
Sofia was genuinely envious. The foal looked even more beautiful now, making her heart flutter.
Seeing her fixation on the foal, Nathaniel smiled and asked, “Do you like it?”
“Yeah, it’s gorgeous,” Sofia replied.
She regretted not following Sylvia Grant’s advice to track down the seller and get the foal.
Nathaniel had already started plotting.
But getting an animal from Eric was nearly impossible, even if it were just a mosquito.
Convincing Eric to give Sofia the foal would be a tough task.
Just then, a voice rang out.
“Nathaniel! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Is that really you? You’re really standing up!”
A man’s voice shouted, rushing towards them.
