Ever since the competition with the Cunninghams, Matthew hadn't been bothered by them anymore. He was happy to have some peace to focus on his martial arts training.

After discussing with the family, Sasha's parents decided to merge the two adjacent shops together.

The left and right sides would mainly serve nutritional cuisine, while the middle part would be transformed into a tea room for VIPs.

Without any external distractions, Matthew could expand and renovate the shop, which brought smiles to Sasha's parents' faces.

Early in the morning, James and Helen got up to inspect the preparations for the opening. Of course, Matthew and Sasha were awakened by them.

Matthew, in pajamas and messy hair, yawned and went downstairs. "Mom, Dad, there's no need to be up so early. There are workers handling the shop. And the guests won't arrive until at least noon."

However, his explanation didn't ease his parents' worries.

"Since we are hosting a grand opening ceremony, we naturally have to take it seriously. If the guests arrive early, it'll be our becoming. Matthew, prep yourself up. You can't go around looking sloppy. Here, this is the suit for you. James and I personally picked it yesterday. Try it on quickly."

Accompanied by his wife's laughter, Matthew reluctantly went to wash up and get changed. The fresh morning quietly began with urging and disdain.

When Matthew's family arrived at S&L's Breakfast, it was not even half past eight. There were flower baskets and festive red banners outside of the shop.

The shop was not officially open yet due to the preparations. It seemed a bit deserted, which worried Helen. "Matthew, do you think those customers will come? If they choose not to offend the Cunninghams, won't our grand opening become a joke?"

People failed to see the bigger picture sometimes. Deep down, his parents still feared the Cunninghams, one of the Ten Greatest Families of Cathay.

Matthew clucked his tongue. "Mom, you underestimate me too much. After all, I am the Holy Doctor of Cathay. I have a reputation. You can rest assured."

Still, her doubts remained. Since things had come to this point, they could only take it step by step.
