Seeing the effect his words had, Emil finally got Deadeye to wave off his men. "So, you're telling me that your uncle, a captain of the Island Watch, went to confront this man and got beaten so badly he's now in critical condition?" Deadeye repeated, fixing Emil with a piercing stare.

Although it was humiliating to admit that his proud uncle had been defeated, Emil had no choice. He needed Deadeye's help to take down the northern dock.

"I see. So, you came here with such a generous warning because you want to use us as your pawns. Bold move, Kaiser." Deadeye's tone now held a note of warning rather than the hostility it carried earlier. Nobody liked being manipulated, even if the information had some truth.

"Before I change my mind, get out," Deadeye ordered, dismissing Emil. "If you linger, you might not be able to leave."

"Yes, Chief Deadeye. But I'd still advise you to act soon. Once they grow stronger, it'll be much harder to deal with them." Emil didn't wait for a response, hurrying back the way he'd come. He knew if Deadeye changed his mind, not even his uncle could save him.

After Emil left, Deadeye's men turned to him, their expressions wary.

"Chief, are we really going to attack the northern dock?"

"Yeah, it's obvious that guy was trying to set us up."

"If his uncle got taken down, there's probably more to it than he's telling us."
