Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 162

Everett lifted his head, gently taking her wrist and moving it aside. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of her flushed cheeks and dreamy eyes. "Mrs. Bennett, are you satisfied now?" he teased.

Selena, though still a bit dazed, was not impressed by his sly tactics. Her lips trembled as she retorted, "Not... satisfied!"

His fingers brushed over her still-trembling body, bluntly calling her out, "But your body seems to think otherwise."

Selena just stared at him, speechless.

"Mrs. Bennett," he continued, his voice low and irresistibly charming, "since I've taken care of you, isn't it fair that it's my turn now?"

The way Everett looked at her almost made her knees buckle. Her heart skipped a beat. After yesterday's whirlwind, she hadn't fully recovered. If he kept it up, she'd be bedridden for days!

Without wasting a second, she tried to get up and escape.

But Everett was ready for her. He held her down with one hand, and with the other, he opened the nightstand drawer, revealing a stash of various brand-name condoms.

Selena was taken aback. Sure, they usually kept some condoms around, but never this many! Everett didn't visit that often, and sometimes, he'd have her take a pill in a rush. When did he stock up like this?

She used to buy the condoms herself; it wasn't something she liked to delegate.

Everett casually grabbed a couple of condoms and, seeing the confusion in her eyes, he explained with a grin, "I promised I wouldn't make you take the pill again, so I had Derick handle it."

Selena was mortified. How could she face Derick after this?

"You're such a jerk!" she spat through gritted teeth.

The last time Joy walked in on them, the embarrassment nearly killed her. She wasn't about to let that happen again!

Everett couldn't help but laugh in exasperation, capturing her rebellious hands as he glared at her. "You want me to stop now? That's asking the impossible!"

He turned towards the door and shouted, "Tell her to wait!"

Ava, understanding the situation all too well, blushed deeply and hurried downstairs without another word.

With the interruption gone, Everett was ready to continue, but Selena's sudden question stopped him in his tracks.

"Everett, you say you don't want a divorce, but do you really see me as your wife?"
