Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 362

The man's tall frame draped over her, his chest blazing against her back, like it was pulling her into a sea of molten lava. He showed no mercy, punishing her for her indifference.

Selena's tears slowly spilled over, a soft whimper escaping her lips. Her fingers, gripping the table's edge, turned white from the pressure, veins standing out on her forehead. Her vision was blurred by a fog she couldn't clear.

Everett lifted his head to gaze at her, her face flushed with desire, sinking with him into this abyss of passion. He felt a strange, indescribable thrill in his chest, akin to the satisfaction he got from climbing the corporate ladder and racking up achievements. He never thought he’d feel this way from a romantic encounter.

He was almost lost in it. Unable to resist, he whispered sweet nothings in her ear, then found her tender lips, kissing her deeply. His fingers pried hers open, interlocking them tightly together. Their closeness was like that of the most intimate lovers in the world.

The clock on the wall ticked as the night grew deeper, and finally, the noise in the home theater room stopped. Selena was soaked in sweat, her eyelids drooping, fingers too weak to move.

Everett, also sweaty, felt refreshed rather than exhausted. The release had cleared away the frustration from dealing with the company's old-timers. He wrapped her limp body in his arms, reclining slightly on the couch, letting her rest against him. One hand held a cigarette, while the other absentmindedly stroked her smooth back, as leisurely as if he were petting a cat.

He couldn’t deny that his insatiable desire for Selena was a big reason he couldn’t let her go. To a man, money and intimacy are always the main themes. Some might have to choose, but Everett didn’t believe in making that choice!

After getting cleaned up in the bathroom, Everett brought Selena back to bed. She was about to drift off as soon as she hit the mattress, but he gently pulled her back.

“Hang on a sec, have a bite to eat before you sleep.” She had been upset with him all day, hardly eating anything. After all that exertion, he worried she might actually be starving.

Too tired and sleepy, Selena was also filled with a sense of frustration, ignoring him as she slid further under the blankets.
