Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 466

Margot sent over a flood of photos.

Every single one was of her and Everett... in bed. He was shrouded in a soft, dreamy filter, while she was in sharp focus, striking all sorts of poses, with telltale marks on her skin and a look of pure bliss as if she were in heaven. Each snapshot shouted how happy and in sync she and Everett were.

And then came the avalanche of messages.

"Everett is just insatiable, I'm barely holding on. Thank goodness you're there to help me handle it. Last night, he was at it till the early hours and still wasn't satisfied, so I sent him your way. Are you okay?"

"Selena, Everett's energy and needs have always been off the charts compared to other men. It's way too much for me alone. So I've decided, from now on, let's tackle this together. When I can't step up, you take over, and vice versa. Just like last night, I took the first half, you the second. This way, no one gets left out!"

"I'm a bit older, so I'll just start calling you 'sister.' Let's get along, it'll make things easier for Everett too."

"Don't worry, I won't fight you for the Mrs. Bennett title anymore. As long as I'm with Everett, I'm happy. Even if I have more kids, they won't compete with yours for the inheritance. Let's not argue over Everett, especially since you're expecting. Stress is the last thing a pregnant woman needs!"

"Let's keep the tradition of one woman serving two men alive!"

Selena knew Margot was sending these pictures and words just to get under her skin, but even knowing that, she couldn't stop her stomach from churning. Nausea hit her like a wave, and she felt sick to her core.

Her face flushed with blood, the veins in her neck strained, and she was overwhelmed by a storm of disgust, rage, heartbreak, and despair. Knowing was one thing; seeing it was another.

Even though she had no hopes left for Everett, this level of betrayal and provocation was too much. It made her so angry she blacked out and collapsed onto the floor.

Luckily, Ava was quick to catch her. "Ma'am, watch out," she said, guiding her back to the bed. She urged her to take deep breaths and cursed on her behalf, "Don't look at this trash, it's ruining your eyes. That filthy mistress deserves to be taught a lesson!"

Margot, seemingly unsatisfied with her handiwork, kept the messages coming, the phone buzzing non-stop.

Selena, hands trembling, gathered all her strength and hurled the phone to the ground. With a loud crash, the screen went black, finally giving her some peace.

"Ma'am, breathe deeply. No matter how mad you are, you have to take care of yourself, think of the baby..."

The baby.

Maybe those words got through to her.

Selena's face was ghostly pale, all color drained. She closed her eyes, took deep breaths for a long time, and finally steadied herself.

She couldn't afford to fall apart, her Mateo was still waiting for her.

Her hands clenched into fists, nails digging deep into her palms. She thought, that morning, she shouldn't have just slapped him twice; she should have aimed to knock some sense—or something else—out of him!
