Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 572

The woman was absolutely stunning. Her golden hair flowed down her back in large, bouncy curls, her skin was fair, and her features were delicately crafted, with a lively spark in her eyes. She had a kind of beauty that could stop people in their tracks. She was Jenny, the heiress whose extravagant lifestyle had recently been all over the media. In person, she was even more striking than in the photos.

At the moment, she was playfully leaning against Everett, looking all flirty. Selena's hand tightened unconsciously. It wasn’t like she cared about how many women were around Everett, nor could she control whether he was faithful. But if he was going to acknowledge their son, he could at least pretend to be a decent father. Or maybe this was his petty way of getting back at her for not doing what he wanted—by parading his flings around.

Selena picked up her son, planning to head upstairs. She wanted to keep him away from this mess. Just then, Everett looked her way, his dark eyes resting on her expressionless face for a moment before he said, "Come and entertain the guest."

Selena frowned. Ava couldn't hold back her frustration. Bringing a mistress home was bad enough, but expecting his wife to play hostess? That was just outrageous. She was about to give him a piece of her mind.

Worried Ava might stir things up more, Selena quickly passed little Mateo to her, urging her to take him upstairs. This was no place for a child. Grumbling, Ava left the room.

Selena adjusted her coat and walked over. Instead of sitting next to Everett, she chose a small sofa across from them. Jenny crossed her arms, giving Selena a once-over with her sharp, foxy eyes, and deliberately provoked, "So you're Selena, huh? Not much to write home about, if you ask me."

"And, not to spill too much tea, but I did try to seduce him once. Guess what? He didn't even blink. Me, a total knockout, and he was unmoved. I even wondered if he was all talk and no action!"

She complained right in front of Everett, whose handsome face darkened. Selena, however, felt a wave of confusion. Was Everett's indifference toward a stunner like Jenny because he had Yasmine at the time... or was there another reason?

But once Jenny started talking, she couldn't stop. She even cozied up next to Selena on the small sofa. As she got closer, she noticed the affectionate look in Selena's eyes and the telltale love marks barely hidden under her collar. From her experience, Everett must be quite the player in the romance department.
