Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 601

The implication was clear: she had kissed their son, but what about him?

Selena just couldn't believe it. How could he even think of comparing himself to their son?

Of course, this guy had always been so full of himself. Selena knew she couldn't compete with his shamelessness. Ignoring him seemed like the best option, so she acted as if she hadn't heard and tried to pull her hand away.

But Everett wasn't about to let her off that easily. He tightened his grip, clearly expecting some equal treatment.

Their little tug-of-war made a bit of noise.

Their son was still snoozing away in the middle, so Selena whispered, "Keep it down, don't wake him up!"

After the scare he had today, he needed all the sleep he could get to recover.

Everett glanced at their son, nodding in agreement with Selena's caution.

Yet, he still didn't let go of her. Instead, he pulled her off the bed and carried her over to the couch.

Taking matters into his own hands.

Selena was both amused and annoyed by his boldness. She tried twisting his arm, but his muscles were like steel, and she ended up hurting her own hand, while he stayed as cool as a cucumber.

Everett caught her hand, gently kissing the back of it, teasing her, "Does it hurt? Let your hubby make it better~"

"Have you no shame?" she retorted, glaring at him. She had no idea how the fire in her eyes just fueled his desire even more.

He moved closer, whispering in her ear, "Mrs. Bennett, keep it down, don't wake our son, okay?"

Her face turned a deep shade of crimson, the color spreading all the way down her neck.

Unlike this shameless man, she turned her head away, burying it in a pillow.

Out of sight, out of mind...

She might not admit it now, but in time, she would open her heart fully to him. He was confident that day wasn't too far off...

Thinking about it stirred him again.

Nestled against him, Selena quickly picked up on it and her expression shifted slightly.

Before she could push him away, Everett pinned her beneath him again, "How about one more round, huh?"

Though he asked, he was already moving...

Just then, a sleepy little voice piped up: "Mommy, Daddy, what are you doing?"

Everett and Selena froze.

On the bed, Mateo, with his hair sticking up in all directions, sat up rubbing his eyes, looking at them with sleepy confusion.
