Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 619

What a so-called high society lady, a dignified wife indeed! Selena smirked just a bit. "Well, that's just because you haven't shared a bed with him yet."

Being pregnant, she couldn't let herself go hungry, so she ordered another dessert. The sweets here were deliciously balanced, melting right in your mouth. Maybe it was the sugar, but her mood lifted a little.

Taking a few delicate bites, she looked up at Yasmine, whose face was practically turning green with anger, and calmly added, "You haven't even made it to Everett's bed, and yet, here you are, rushing to demand a title from me. Haven't you heard the saying: 'Patience is a virtue'?"

"Don't you realize the last one like you just disappeared into thin air?"

Yasmine was shaking all over, utterly disgusted by Selena's constant bedroom talk. What kind of wife acts like this?

"I was just... hurt. Mr. Everett cares for me, cherishes me. We'll definitely end up together like that eventually. What do you even know!"

Then, she hurled an accusation at Selena, "You obviously don't love Mr. Everett. All you care about is being Mrs. Bennett. You just want to cling to that title and bask in the luxury!"

Selena didn't bother denying it. Yasmine failed to rile her up and only ended up fuming herself. She had to get rid of this shameless woman for Mr. Everett's sake.

Her face was ghostly pale, her entire body trembling uncontrollably. Selena, however, remained unruffled. She calmly sat back down, continuing to enjoy her cake.

Everett strode over, his dark eyes scanning Yasmine before landing on Selena, lips pressed into a tight line. Then he shot a cold glance at Alex, who felt a chill run down his spine. It was his oversight for not keeping a closer eye on Yasmine, allowing her to stir up trouble for Mrs. Bennett again.

Yasmine, unwilling to be ignored, knew if words couldn't provoke Selena, she had to try something else. As long as Mr. Everett showed concern for her, she believed Selena couldn't just sit by indifferently.

Recently, she'd been reminding him of their childhood memories, noticing his attitude softening. Suddenly, Yasmine clutched her back, crying out in exaggerated pain once more. "Mr. Everett, my back hurts so much, please come and see me..."
