Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 660

Everett was taking a leisurely stroll along the garden path, heading towards the restroom, when he caught sight of Selena. She was leaning against a park bench, her brow slightly furrowed, as if something was on her mind.

With a purposeful stride, Everett moved towards her, gently placing his hands on her slender shoulders. "Selena, what's going on? Are you feeling alright?"

Selena's thick lashes fluttered for a moment as she looked up at him. In an instant, she managed to flash a carefree smile.

"Oh, nothing. Just thought the view was nice here and wanted to soak it in for a bit."

"Is that so?"

Before Everett could dig any deeper, Selena swiftly changed the topic. "Is the game over? Did you guys win?"

"Absolutely. Today's trophy is Mateo's."

Everett wrapped an arm around her waist, his fingers playfully brushing her nose. "Is there a prize for that victory?"

Selena knew exactly what he was hinting at. She pretended to misunderstand, "Of course! Mateo did so well; he deserves the latest action figure."

Everett feigned annoyance and leaned down, giving her lips a playful nibble. "You're always teasing me."

The family day wrapped up perfectly, with Mateo clutching his trophy, grinning from ear to ear. Selena ruffled his hair, her eyes glowing with motherly affection.

Once back at the villa, Mateo hopped out of the car, bursting inside to brag to Ava, while Everett, with work still calling, gently touched Selena's face, whispered a few things, and then drove off.

As the black Bentley disappeared down the road, Selena's calm smile faded. She pulled out her phone and dialed Blaine.

The call was quickly picked up, and she got straight to the point, "Blaine, what's the deal? Why didn’t Yasmine make an appearance?"

Selena's grip on her phone tightened, her voice steady but firm, "Blaine, keep tabs on Yasmine's car and send me her location. I'm on my way to meet you."

Blaine responded, "Got it."

Having set things in motion, there was no turning back. She wouldn't let Yasmine roam free anymore!

...

Yasmine didn't head to the airport. She took an exit earlier and drove to a secluded resort in the suburbs.

After parking, she took the elevator up and swiped her card to enter a suite. She'd barely stepped inside when a slap landed on her face, knocking her off balance and sending her sprawling to the floor.
