Mission: From Divorcee to Millionaire novel Chapter 814

Breanne was left speechless.

She couldn't believe Selena would stoop so low as to bring in backup!

Just as she was about to call her out, Holt sprang forward like a flash, clamping a hand over Breanne's mouth and yanking her arm, shoving her toward the exit.

Despite them all being women, Holt had grown wise from past encounters. She'd been hitting the gym and practicing martial arts with the bodyguards, all to better protect the lady of the house.

Breanne's skinny arms and legs were nothing like the lady’s graceful, toned physique. The lady had the perfect mix of curves and lines from years of yoga and Pilates, striking a balance of elegance and strength.

Breanne, on the other hand, seemed to keep her figure by skipping meals. She was all skin and bones, and Holt could have whisked her away effortlessly.

Breanne was boiling with anger. Holt handled her like she was a featherweight, completely disregarding her status.

After all, she was Mr. Everett’s current favorite, and they had the nerve to treat her like this!

Thankfully, she spotted Everett approaching and cried out, "Mr. Everett, help me! They're trying to throw me out!"

Everett strode over in a few long steps.

His dark eyes narrowed, flicking over Breanne's tear-streaked face, then settling on Selena.

His voice was calm yet firm, "What's happening here?"

Before Selena could get a word in, Breanne launched into a sobbing complaint. "Mr. Everett, I was just standing here, and Ms. Selena decided to throw me out, probably because... she can't stand me being near you. She even threatened to have her assistant drag me out and slap me ten times."

Selena gave a slight smirk.

Classic drama queen, always putting on a show.

Breanne wrenched free from Holt and scurried to Everett’s side, shaking as if she'd been through hell.

His grip was too firm for Selena to break free, leaving her no choice but to follow.

Holt, worried, tried to catch up, but two burly bodyguards suddenly appeared, blocking her way.

Everett pushed open the VIP lounge door, pulling Selena inside and tossing her onto the sofa.

Leaning over her, his strong arms boxed her in between him and the couch, his gaze intense, like a brewing storm.

He spoke, his tone edged with anger, "Selena, you told me to find someone else, and now you’re bullying her? What’s your game here?"

Selena met Everett’s gaze.

She didn’t believe Everett couldn’t see who was really at fault; he was just using this as a pretext.

Selena closed her eyes briefly, took a deep breath, and then spoke softly, "She’s the one who picked a fight with me, Everett. Control your woman, or I’ll have her tossed into the Atlantic to feed the fish!"
