“My father’s skull?” 

Dustin stared at the skull in the wooden box. His face darkened. 

He hated nothing more than others using the people close to him to threaten him, even if it was the remains of a family from many years ago. 

He could not quite believe it. 

His father had died more than twenty years ago, and his body was nowhere to be found. How did Brennan Aquila, patriarch of the Aquila family, get his skull? 

“You don’t believe me?” As if Brennan expected Dustin’s reaction, he took out a few pictures and threw them at Dustin. 

Dustin caught them and looked at them. 

The pictures were of a decapitated corpse! 

The corpse had a similar face to Dustin’s. The face looked angry and shocked, with its eyes wide open. 

Dustin felt as though someone had just hit him in the gut. 

Never had he imagined that his first glimpse of his father would be of his mutilated body. 

In an instant, rage surged within him. 

“That’s how your father died!” Brennan sneered. “Your father was beheaded, and the person who did it is a highly ⚫ skilled swordmaster. The cut was clean and without a trace of blood. It’s something only the most skilled could 

achieve in Lovellia. With your sharp eyes, I’m sure you can tell whether the cut on the skull is the same as the one in the picture.” 

Dustin seethed in anger. 

Brennan was right. Dustin could indeed tell with just one glance that the cut in the picture was the same as the one on the skull. 

This was indeed his father’s skull. 

“Brennan, why is Mr. Ash’s skull with you? Where’s the rest of his body?” Lucius demanded. 

But Brennan ignored him. He stared at Dustin instead. 

“Dustin Fox, the last heir of the Fox family–you’ve accomplished much. No one ever imagined a lone survivor would rise to this height!” His tone turned venomous. “But even so, thinking you can avenge the Fox family is nothing but a fool’s dream! 

“Your father’s skull is with me. You have to do whatever I say, or I’m going to crush this skull to pieces so that your father’s body will never be whole again!” 

Brennan laughed. 

He had not really felt confident about this, but when he saw how murderously Dustin glared at him, he was certain. 

It meant that Dustin wanted his father’s body to be whole. 

“Brennan, you despicable b*stard! Ungrateful thug! You should burn in hell!” Lucius shouted angrily.

Then, you’ll wait for my punishment!” Brenna took the skull out of the box and shouted at Dustin. “Don’t you dare try to snatch the skull from me! No matter how fast your sovereign grade fighter is, I can still destroy the skull quicker than him!”
