Victor’s hesitation was painfully obvious.
He did not dare fight Dustin. The thought of tarnishing his hard–earned reputation or, even worse, losing his life to Dustin, was enough to sap any courage he might have had.
He was leaving himself an easy way out.
All Dustin needed to do was offer a plausible explanation, and Victor would latch onto it as an excuse.
“Why did I kill the Aquila family?” Dustin sneered with a cold face. “The Aquila family was once an underling of the Fox family. They betrayed us and colluded with traitors. They were involved in the slaughter of my entire family. Now, I’ve returned for revenge. An eye for an eye… Does anyone have a problem with that?”
At Dustin’s words, the crowd exchanged surprised glances.

“I’ve heard of the Fox family tragedy, but I never imagined the Aquila family would be implicated. This case is far too complex to be judged in haste,” he said and paused to let his words hang in the air. “This case should be referred to the Martial League Headquarters in Central Harbor. There will be experts to conduct a thorough investigation. Does that sound reasonable to all of you?”
The elite martial artists exchanged uneasy glances.
Bianca scowled in frustration.
Victor’s words sounded logical and honorable, but it was clear to her that he was just looking for a way to not involve himself in this.
How could he simply walk away at such a critical moment?
“Mr. Cain, are you… afraid?” someone murmured.
“Afraid?” Victor heard the words, and his face darkened with anger. “I’m the strongest martial artist of Lannopolis and a national hero. What do I have to fear? I merely refuse to make a reckless judgment that could cloud the truth!”
The elite martial artists had no choice but to murmur in agreement.
Dustin chuckled softly but made no effort to expose Victor’s intentions,

Victor’s face stiffened as his pride took another hit.
But he did not dare challenge Dustin. He was the harbinger of chaos.
“If the Martial League summons you, you must respond,” he said as he did his best to maintain his composure.
Dustin did not even bother to reply. He turned around and walked away without so much as a backward glance.
Victor’s face turned an ugly shade of purple in frustration.

Shitty ending but considering overall I give the book .05 out of 5 stars. You used the same plot to many times, too many translation errors, even at the end you screwed around with the font and color because who knows why, the title had nothing to do with the story do I need to continue...
Just move to the enemy and let the snipers kill him for you Dustin. Use him as your shield easy peasy Mac n cheesey....

Why does Dustin still think he owes his adoptive dad a debt? Sure he saved his life and help raise, taught martial arts etc... till his death but Dustin stayed on and put his life at risk and invested his time and money into his 5 daughters up until they came across their biological brother and kicked him out. Treat him like a thieving dog and have attempted numerous times to kill him. He finally showed some common sense by imprisoning the 1 sister and killing her cousin yet he lets the others slide. With his status and power I would have already killed them off or at the very least taken them and imprisoned them like the 1 and tortured the mom into spilling everything she knows and getting my rightful inheritance, but the author has to drag it out....
He said to mutilate the body and burn it why not start with beheading it and taking it back to show the city and place it as an offering to his family? That's what a great MC would have done....
Lame you change the name of the characters and use the same ole trope how many time are you going to use it? First it was the Langley sisters, then the McCall girl I believe this is the second or third time with Shawna. You need new material author...
