My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness novel Chapter 283

“Security guard? A servant? Ha! Do you even know who he really is?”

The crowd exchanged puzzled glances.

“Who... is he?”

John’s gaze sharpened and cut through the tension like a blade.

“Twenty years ago, the prestigious Fox family of Grayvale was annihilated overnight. It was said that no one survived. But later, it was discovered that a son and daughter managed to escape. The bloodline of the Fox family endured, and he is the surviving son.”

Shock rippled through the room.

The Fox family massacre had long been shrouded in mystery. Those who knew of it understood that probing too deeply would invite disaster.

Few had ever imagined that any Fox family member had survived.

But Dustin, far from lying low, had boldly stepped back into the very city where his family met its end.

Was he reckless or just trying to die?

Shawna looked at Dustin with a mix of emotions.

The quiet and seemingly unassuming security guard she had brought along had such a devastating past?

Was this the same man who claimed to be Mrs. Swift’s nephew?

“Miss Shawna, take your mother somewhere safe for now. Leave this to me.” Dustin’s calm voice broke through her thoughts.

“You… Can you really manage this?” Shawna hesitated.

She did not know much about John, but his presence alone was intimidating.

“Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.”

After a moment of hesitation, Shawna led Maisie to the back of the house.

As she left, her mind raced. Once her mother was safe, she vowed to return and stand by Dustin.

After all, he was here because of her. She could not just walk away.

Someone from the Riley family sneered. “So? What does it even matter if he’s the descendant of the Fox family? Does that give him a right to be so arrogant?”

John’s voice cut through the chatter like a blade. “Three days ago, Dustin Fox returned to Grayvale. On his very first day back, he annihilated the Cave family. Dozens were dead. Their entire household was wiped out.”

“Gasp!”

The room collectively gasped.
