His face darkened in anger. He was the most upset person there.
Patricia’s uncle and aunt, Evan and Yvonne, were also unhappy. They looked really upset.
Dustin’s surprising success meant their plan had failed.
They had hoped to get rid of Dustin and use their daughter to snag a rich husband, but that was ruined.
Still, getting a 1-billion-dollar contract should bring some benefits, so it was not a total loss.
“Dustin, you’re incredible!” Patricia said with admiration as she walked over to him.
‘After this, he won’t be looked down on in the Yeager family anymore,’ she thought.
Everyone looked at Zack and waited for him to speak.
Zack flipped through the contract a few more times before looking at Dustin.
“Good job. This project is great for us,” Zack said with approval.
“I checked the contract. The Mayhill development is based on the Yeager family’s property, right?”
“Right.” Dustin nodded.
“The contract isn’t signed yet,” Zack said with a smile.
“Not yet. Once you agree, Patricia can sign it, and it will be official.”
Zack nodded.
“Since it’s the Yeager family’s property, this is a deal with us. Honestly, someone else could sign it, and it would be the same,” he said meaningfully.
Patricia suddenly felt a little uneasy.
“What do you mean?” Dustin frowned.
“You did a good job earning this opportunity for the Yeager family. But from now on, you won’t be in charge of the project. I’ll give it to someone else,” Zack said flatly.
“Is this backstabbing?” Dustin’s face turned cold. He had not expected Zack to do this.
He had brought this big opportunity to the Yeager family, and this was how they were repaying him and Patricia?
The Yeager family members’ reactions were mixed.
However, no one stood up for Dustin and Patricia. In fact, they were secretly pleased.
They could see it too. Dustin was an outsider, after all. Zack was happy, but deep down, he still looked down on Dustin.
‘Great!’ Alex thought. He was so happy he almost jumped up. He looked at Dustin with glee and secretly enjoyed the moment.
What did it matter if Dustin had good luck? What did it matter if he landed a huge contract? He was still looked down on by the Yeager family. His efforts did not matter.
“Grandpa, how can you do this?” Patricia could not hold back. It was so unfair.
“This project was secured by Dustin. He should be the one in charge!”
“Patricia, know your place!” Zack glared at her. “Elders make the decisions. You have no right to question me!”

Shitty ending but considering overall I give the book .05 out of 5 stars. You used the same plot to many times, too many translation errors, even at the end you screwed around with the font and color because who knows why, the title had nothing to do with the story do I need to continue...
Just move to the enemy and let the snipers kill him for you Dustin. Use him as your shield easy peasy Mac n cheesey....

Why does Dustin still think he owes his adoptive dad a debt? Sure he saved his life and help raise, taught martial arts etc... till his death but Dustin stayed on and put his life at risk and invested his time and money into his 5 daughters up until they came across their biological brother and kicked him out. Treat him like a thieving dog and have attempted numerous times to kill him. He finally showed some common sense by imprisoning the 1 sister and killing her cousin yet he lets the others slide. With his status and power I would have already killed them off or at the very least taken them and imprisoned them like the 1 and tortured the mom into spilling everything she knows and getting my rightful inheritance, but the author has to drag it out....
He said to mutilate the body and burn it why not start with beheading it and taking it back to show the city and place it as an offering to his family? That's what a great MC would have done....
Lame you change the name of the characters and use the same ole trope how many time are you going to use it? First it was the Langley sisters, then the McCall girl I believe this is the second or third time with Shawna. You need new material author...
Oh my not the weak who the MC showed mercy by not killing him because of some honor bound duty to a dead guy makes a comeback and forces the MC into a corner before the mc finally kills him arc 🤣...
