“Where’s the item?” Brody glanced at him. His face remained cold and serious.
“Don’t worry. I’ll bring it out right away.”
Kendall led Brody to the center of the hall and poured him a glass of red wine.
“Mr. Cabello, these are Damien and Jade Yeager from the Yeager family. They’re both future heirs to their family businesses,” Kendall said as a way of introduction.
Damien and Jade smiled and reached out for a handshake.
But Brody just glanced at them, let out an “oh,” and looked away. He could not be bothered with them.
Damien and Jade froze in front of everyone awkwardly. Their hands hung midair for a few seconds before they pulled them back.
They had not expected Brody to be so dismissive. They felt embarrassed.
But neither dared to say anything.
“He’s got quite an attitude,” Dustin said.
“Well, most top-tier families look down on smaller ones. Brody is just more obvious about it. He only respects people stronger than him and doesn’t even acknowledge those beneath him,” Adrian said.
“Bring the pot.” Kendall felt embarrassed, too. Brody showed him no respect, so he had no choice but to get straight to business.
Only then did Brody’s expression relax slightly.
“Mr. Cabello, we spent a fortune to win this pot at the auction. I guarantee the mark on it is identical to the one the Cabello family showed. This is definitely what you’re looking for.” Kendall made sure Brody knew how much effort the Dhillon family had put into this.
“I’m giving it to you today. I hope the Cabello family will keep their promise.”
“We always keep our word.” Brody remained serious. “If this item is important enough to the family, we will reward you generously. We’ll do whatever it takes to fulfill your request.”
“Great! We trust the Cabello family’s power.”
Kendall took the tray from a servant. A red cloth was covering something.
He pulled back the cloth and revealed a beautifully crafted pot.
“Please take a look.” Kendall presented it to Brody.
The moment Brody saw the unique mark on the pot, his expression changed slightly.
Kendall smiled. This thing was clearly valuable.

Shitty ending but considering overall I give the book .05 out of 5 stars. You used the same plot to many times, too many translation errors, even at the end you screwed around with the font and color because who knows why, the title had nothing to do with the story do I need to continue...

Why does Dustin still think he owes his adoptive dad a debt? Sure he saved his life and help raise, taught martial arts etc... till his death but Dustin stayed on and put his life at risk and invested his time and money into his 5 daughters up until they came across their biological brother and kicked him out. Treat him like a thieving dog and have attempted numerous times to kill him. He finally showed some common sense by imprisoning the 1 sister and killing her cousin yet he lets the others slide. With his status and power I would have already killed them off or at the very least taken them and imprisoned them like the 1 and tortured the mom into spilling everything she knows and getting my rightful inheritance, but the author has to drag it out....
He said to mutilate the body and burn it why not start with beheading it and taking it back to show the city and place it as an offering to his family? That's what a great MC would have done....
Lame you change the name of the characters and use the same ole trope how many time are you going to use it? First it was the Langley sisters, then the McCall girl I believe this is the second or third time with Shawna. You need new material author...
Oh my not the weak who the MC showed mercy by not killing him because of some honor bound duty to a dead guy makes a comeback and forces the MC into a corner before the mc finally kills him arc 🤣...
