* FATHOM COMPANY *
Gossips and murmurs were heard all around the company. "He's still here working?? His dad just died right?". "Isn't that a bit too harsh??". "Maybe he's just working to forget his sadness??", and so on, the gossips went.
"Sis in law?" a familiar voice rang as they turn around to see a greeting Kristan. "Shut your mouth, and she'll never be your sister in law" Evalyn glares, Kristan nervously laughing.
"Well off we go, come on Fae" she says as her friend follows along. Staring at them go, he glared at all the workers, immediately shushing their lousy gossips shut.
Done with his business, he went towards the elevator as he passed each working floor, silence accompanying him. "Ding!" the elevator alarmed as it opened.
Walking, he proceeded to where his friend's office is. Opening the door, "Your cutie patootie Kristan is here" he boorishly teased. Closing the door behind him, he saw his friend doing all the paperworks as always.
"What do you want? Problems at your company?" Liam asked. "Nope, but your company, yes" he answered, sitting on the couch, making himself at home.
"If you're not gonna work, I'll report you" Liam dead pan stated, still concentrating on his work. "That's mean... Aren't you gonna shush those stupid rumors going around?" Kristan asks, staring at him, hugging the pillow on the couch.
"I already have my assistant do it. You won't be hearing them after you go out" he answered, flipping pages. "You're not gonna let him have a funeral?" he asks, yawning. "It seems like you're so eager to bury him" Liam exclaims, causing his friend to silently chuckle.
"Nah, in fact I'm also happy he's gone. Where do you want to eat lunch later?" he asks, Liam finally stopping his work and looking at him. "Are you that bored? Do you want me to create problems at your company?" he glared, Kristan pouting.
"I'm just running away, please defend me brother" he sighs. "Marriage again? How many times has it been this week??" Liam asks, going back to his work. "Dude, you can never count. What's with the "We want grandchildren already" nagging. I can marry when I want to" he rants.
"If you go back to your office and work, I can hold off those nags for 2 weeks" Liam bargained, and without a second thought, he could hear his friend standing up.
