My Big-Buck Ex Won't Let Me Go novel Chapter 32

The doorbell rang, and Carol said happily, "it should be Shawn. I'll open the door." then she ran out of the kitchen. Seeing her running out, Sally smiled helplessly and shook her head.

"Here you are, Shawn." As soon as Carol opened the door, she held the arm of Shawn intimately in front of Windy, completely ignoring her existence. She said to him, "I knew you would keep your promise and come to see me."

Carol took the arrival of Shawn as a special visit to her, instead of accompanying Windy.

Perhaps he cared about Windy's feelings, or something else, Shawn glanced at Carol, who had been ignored by Windy. He didn't say anything but smiled gracefully at Carol, and then rubbed her long hair dotingly.

Seeing how much Shawn spoiled his sister, Windy felt sad again. Then she lowered her head, passed by the two and walked into the living room.

Carol rolled her eyes at Windy unfriendly. When she turned around and faced Shawn, a gentle and obedient smile appeared on her face again. "Please come in and have a seat," said Carol.

"Okay." Shawn answered. He didn't even realize that he dodged Carol's hand subconsciously, which seemed to be inadvertent and didn't attract much attention of Carol.

When they arrived at the living room, Carol saw Windy sitting on the sofa and talking to someone. She curled her lips with disdain. After she finished talking on the phone and put the phone in her bag, she deliberately found an excuse to send Windy away. "Windy, mom is preparing dinner in the kitchen. Don't you like to help her most? It's rare for you to come back. Go and help her."

How could Windy not know that Carol was deliberately making an excuse to send her away? Her purpose was to stay alone with Shawn. She had gone too far in front of her and did not treat her as Shawn's wife at all.

Windy didn't want to do as she said, but she felt that they were at home. No matter how excessive the two of them were, they didn't dare to act recklessly. She glanced at Shawn and said nothing. Then she turned around and went into the kitchen to help Sally.

"Mom, let me help you wash vegetables." Windy walked into the kitchen and said when she saw that Sally was busy alone.

Sally turned around and looked at her daughter with a kind smile on her dignified and noble face. "It's rare for you to come back home. You'd better go to the living room and talk with Shawn."

Windy knew that her mother didn't mean anything else. She just wanted them to sit together and have a chat, but... She smiled bitterly, "they don't want me to disturb them, do they?"

Listening to her daughter's words, it was as if she was an unwelcome person between Shawn and Carol. Sally felt sorry for her. Then she thought that her eldest daughter, Carol, had always been infatuated with Shawn, so she felt that she couldn't let the two of them stay alone. If her eldest daughter did something bad at home, how would the Li clan face the members of the Yu Clan in the future?

Thinking of this, Sally put down the dishes in her hands and walked out of the kitchen, saying, "No, I have to call Carol in. I can't let her stay alone with Shawn. She might cause me trouble."
