In the evening, the two met in the hotel at six o'clock sharp.
Byron had no patience to wait any longer. He rushed over immediately after hanging up the phone.
When Xander arrived, there was only a jug of plain water on the table. There was not even a decent drink.
Byron must have stopped the waiter from serving food using the same reason last time.
Xander was unsettled. The smile on his face was a little cold.
"I'm so flattered that you’re waiting for me, President Lawrence."
He stepped forward and sat down two seats away from Byron. "If the food in this hotel isn’t up to your preference, you should’ve told me earlier."
Byron seemed to have noticed his existence. He just raised his eyes and glanced at him, ignoring his strange demeanor.
"I have nothing against the food here. I just don't think it's necessary."
With that, Byron went straight to the point and brought up business. "I’ve prepared the transfer documents for the ten companies. You only need to sign them and those companies can be transferred to your name at any time. As for the transfer documents of the research institute, I’ve already signed the compensation contract for canceling the cooperation. It’s all included.”
He took out a folder from the side and pushed it in front of Xander indifferently.
Xander was stunned as he glanced at the folder handed to him. Then, he became even prouder.
‘So, this is how it feels to see Byron submit to me in person! How refreshing!
‘How many chances would one get in this lifetime to step all over Byron? This opportunity is rare. I must seize it and enjoy the feeling of being begged by Byron!’
Thinking of this, Xander pulled his lower lip back and pushed the folder aside without opening it.
